It was Harvest Fest at Scotts Mill Park this weekend so I visited the farm fields where the pumpkins live.

This part of the pumpkin patch was somewhat dark due to an adjacent hill, and setting sun. The Nikon SB-800 was able to handle the job and make this beautiful shot.

I had to balance between my desire to get on the ground behind the pile of gourds, and my desire not to look like a crazy person. Darn proprieties.

This weekend will include a pumpkin carving party and then jack-o-lantern display for halloween. If the weekend started early I would probably focus on carving one of these beauties ... and cooking another one.
