We've been having organic vegetable deliveries for a few weeks now and I saw the opportunity to get hold of a whole box of squash and pumpkins. They arrived today and looked so beautiful that I had to take a snap. Some of the varieties I've received will last a few months, so I don't have to try and eat them all at once! The big orange one is going to be used to make my first pumpkin pie.

We found a little farm selling pumpkins by the side of a road after a day out to the Yorkshire Moors. I've never seen anything like it - fantastic!

A wonderful Oct day driving around I found this spot and decided to take a photo of these pumpkins.

The first one said "Oh my, it's getting late.

The second one said "There are witches in the air". The third one said "We don't care". The fourth one said "Let's run and run and run". The fifth one said "I'm ready for some fun". Then "oooooh" went the wind and OUT went the lights and the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

I took my son pumpkin picking for the first time, as he's only 10 months. It was a beautiful day! This was at Conklin Farm U-Pick, in Montville, NJ

They did not ripen by the year's first hard frost, so I cut them and hauled them into the garage to finish ripening and cure.

On our way back from Luray Zoo, we stopped at a local produce stand. They had all of these pumpkins set up in a cart. Angela pointed out that with the hills and cornfield in the background, this would make a great-looking photo. I agreed with her and here is my photo.
