My rental Ford Fiesta has power mirrors that fold in when the car is locked. Within the casing of the mirror is an LED light that shines downwards to illuminate the area around the two front doors - so you can dodge the litter, empty beer cans, broken glass, man traps or even puddles.
I wanted to go for a long walk today with the kids - the plan was cut short about 5 minutes out the door when the kids discovered the first puddles on the trail. They were soaked, and we couldn't stay out very long.

The boys came over this morning and all had fun in the puddle on the bike track. The two older boys were on their bikes but Lachie had fun running through it and making splashes.
Puddle day to help a young victim of car accident and the family, we were asked to buy a 2 dollar button at work which would give us permission for a dress-down day..and you are encouraged to bring in boots and jump in a puddle. I'm literally posting and running..like a 10km tonight I think.. I'll catch up with you all later tonight :)

A big disadvantage of taking puddle pictures is that I can't really see what's going on around me, because I'm staring at the ground through the screen of my camera, often blinded by the sun, and I only notice pretty girls passing by when I'm back home, looking at the pictures on my PC. This means that I'm missing out on plenty of chances to engage a lovely lady in an interesting conversation revolving around the fact that I'm not a madman, but an internationally acclaimed photographer, who is famous for hunching over wet spots, not because he hears voices out of them, but because there's a whole other world hiding in them...the puddles, not the pretty ladies...or wait, actually, in them too, lol :D

"That's a good idea!" I thought.
So off we went. It's a poor day when that's the best activity I can muster...
We got back in time to watch Serena win the Ladies Singles..brilliant!
