I bought a scanner recently from Target. One of them cheap ones on sale for $30. Testing a drawing I drew while at Puddle earlier this year....of Truefan's Puddle. XD
It doesn't scan my moleskine very well though. :( Maybe my scanner is too small. :(

Weather conditions have not been good again this weekend for sunsets on the South Coast of the UK so I have gone back in archives and found this one that was taken back in March this year at the West Winner Sandbank, Hayling Island, Hampshire.
These sandbanks are exposed at low tide and the setting sun highlights the sand ridges and colours the puddles of water left be the previous tide.
1/15 second exposure using a Lee 0.9 + 0.6 (Reversed) ND grad filters.

Claremont Avenue, Bramcote, is home to properties for people with deep pockets, and as such was treated to a more 'upmarket' approach when it came to street lighting.
While most roads nearby were bathed in monochromatic yellow from SOX lamps in conventional lanterns such as GEC Z9538s and (later) Thorn Beta 2s, Claremont Ave and adjoining side roads got SON lamps which gave the place a bit more colour. These were housed in GEC Z5718 post-top lanterns mounted atop short (5m?) concrete columns so that the light from the post-tops spread well and reduced dark patches around the bases of the columns.
Come 2019-or-so and there were very few roads left that hadn't been subjected to LED replacement, so I imagine the council were delighted to find a whole system of streets where they had yet to reign terror upon its street lighting infrastructure. I had, naively, thought they'd learned from putting V-MAX full-cutoff LED fixtures on poles that were too short since some 8m columns had appeared here and there to replace swan-neck ones. Wishful thinking, I guess...
Those very same - incredibly short - columns designed for the post-top lanterns have had LEDs bunged directly on top. Some have been treated to a full column replacement, such as the ones in the background, but most have had the low-effort conversion. Since the optics of the post tops vs the LEDs are completely different (all sideways/none down vs all down/none sideways) the LEDs are creating puddles of light around the column bases with large dark spots in between! I mean, I thought the retrofits onto the normal 6 metre columns were bad, but damn - the light barely reaches the opposite kerb!
The other factor is of course that in the daytime the LED retrofits look hideous, with their nasty, flat shapes protruding directly from the top of the concrete upright. With the post-tops gone the columns look sort of like they've had their heads severed, making street lights on this road now look worse than on a normal one, so what the affluent residents think of that I have no idea!
