Upside down or is it?

Another from the Smokies, but jazzed up a little for HSS!

A couple of weeks ago I set myself the challenge to go out for a walk in the rain with my camera and my 35mm prime lens only. Here is one of the results I got. Check out my blog (see link below) for more images from that walk.

Enjoy!

Shot in Brookfield Illinois.

Mallard having a paddle in Puddle!

The heavy downpours of rain left huge puddles of water everywhere. This one showed the reflection of a huge tree and a few colourful fallen leaves.

a spooky impression from a puddle at Arnhem Central Station

A puddle from a wee stroll this afternoon - have a great Saturday evening - cheers (I'm working on my iPhone photography as I've traded in my Nikon D500 & am waiting on Santa delivering a new toy at Xmas) I'm like wee boy very excited - I suspect I'll not be able to sleep the night before he comes down the chimney. However I've got to say this iPhone is a brilliant camera.

Snowmelt provided a small puddle and a photo opportunity

The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.

No comments today – just enjoy :-)

Some of the snow melted and the gold leaves of fall fell into the puddle. I didn't like this photo very much, but a good friend liked it very much so I am posting it for him. Sometimes beauty is all around us and other times it is right under our feet.

Sometimes all you need is a bit of water and dirt. This little guy didn't seem interested in the historic buildings or stories at Westfield Heritage Village. He had a mud puddle all to himself.

Rain clouds come floating in, not to muddy my days ahead, but to make me calm, happy and hopeful.

Sundance Ki T. skipping puddles in our yard. This is my little "terrorist" kitty, once a feral. Now with Brunne as a new addition he has decided to retire his position and settle down lol.

Been raining off and on for days. Yesterday walking back to the house and caught a reflection in a puddle. Might as well smile.

Mud-puddling is a feeding behaviour displayed by butterflies. Although they primarily feed on nectar they seek out other essential nutrients including minerals and amino acids in moist substances such as rotting plant matter and mud. Where the conditions are suitable, butterflies form aggregations while mud-puddling.

There are six species of butterflies in this photo taken at Phnom Kulen National Park, Cambodia. I have identified two species. The large butterflies are yellow helens, Papilio nephelus. The white butterfly in flight is the same as the yellow and white butterflies with a dark edge at the edge of their wings. They are chocolate albatrosses, Appias lyncida.
