It's been raining a lot here.

Melting snow drips into a puddle, sending ripples that distort the many pebbles and rocks underneath. It's a very busy image but I like it a lot, especially the metallic look to the rocks.

My personal favourite from last night. It was taken with flourescent WB and Canon's twilight picture style. It then had a very small levels adjust in Paintshop Pro.

Another POV picture of myself wearing my green Hunter Wellies in a muddy puddle.

After rain - puddle, autumn leaves & reflections. Part of my photowalk.

Unedited shot of the lovely Miss V, reflected in a puddle in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam. Taken with my HTC Desire using the Camera360 Android app. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

As you might know, I'm a big fan of girls, in my humble opinion they are the beautiful, adorable and inspiring better part of humanity (nothing wrong with guys, I am one myself, but we just don't have that certain je ne sais quoi :) and I could spend whole days just admiring them, too bad that it is not a paid profession to do so, I'd be a freakin' Pro, haha! The lovely Miss V was nice enough to pose for me at a wet spot in the Vondelpark while she was enjoying the warm sunshine caressing her pretty face, thank you Miss V, I feel honored and delighted to have shot you in a puddle :)

Exploring the puddles

Jackson O. standing in a puddle with cool boots on, touching his reflection. I know it's just turned sideways, but it looks so cool like this

The heavy rains produced a large puddle on my porch. My boots are already soaked from walking through the tall grass on the trail. This job only added to the wetness.

This is the last picture from this batch of odds and ends. I have a second batch from this week, but I'm gonna go with a few magazine scans first. I think you'll like them.

Bigger Puddle

Stones in a shallow puddle in the Utah mountains.

Seriously underexposed picture of a clear puddle with the sun shining in it.

Unedited shot of tourists eating fries in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

The tourists come to Amsterdam for many reasons (Sex, Drugs and Rock'n Roll), one of them are the delicious fries that you can eat in the best city in the world. If they're unlucky enough, they might show up in one of my puddle pictures while enjoying their greasy, yummie snack. These ladies were clearly not distracted enough by all the fat pumping through their veins after consuming their Patatje and discovered that I was shooting them, even though I was mostly submerged in the puddle...I guess I'll have to try harder the next time, lol ;-D

The gift bag - Volunteers create the artwork that adorn the gift bags each year. I got one with some really cute artwork of Taeyang Kaito done by Doll Angel.

A pond in an autumn morning beside a gravel road between Gatineau and Mont Tremblant in the Laurentian hills of southern Quebec. My feet were in a frozen puddle of mud, hence the title.

Autumn puddles with leaves. Also there is a reflection of a cloud in the bigger puddle. I think i edited this just enough so nothing was under exposed.

This is not a large puddle, but it captured the attention of a few birds none the less…

Unedited shot of people reflected in a puddle in Amsterdam. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

With this year being an exceptionally rainy one, you'd think that I'm having a ball shooting all those puddles, but sadly that is not the case, you see, for me to be able to take a wicked reflection photo it takes a lot more then just some wet spot, there are many interdepending factors involved, from light and shadow to angles and puddle depth, surface-consistency and dirt-layer thickness, but all this sleazy weather is offering me is wetness, no lights, no camera, no action, just filthy gray skies and misery...makes me want to drown my camera in a puddle, but yeah, I gotta keep keepin' on, so look out for me, lurking in the mean streets of the best city in the world, waiting for that perfect moment to shoot a fancy photo like the ones I've posted today, hehehe :)

The Friday Night Tea Party in the lobby area is a time to enjoy some tea and admire dolls. There's also some informal selling to indulge in.

It's a lot of fun to walk around and look at everyone's dolls. I enjoy seeing how people customize them. But it's also neat to see some of the rarer dolls or brand new ones in person.
