Today started with really heavy rain and so the morning literally was a wash out but the neighborhood pigeons seemed to enjoy the puddles. The afternoon went better as I am clearing out an old shed and the contents had to go to the recycling center and as you now have to book an appointment so 2.30pm was the allotted time. all went well and everything was cleared out so now just the shed to go. Someone has already agreed to take it but now it has to be dismantled and shipped over the road.,
It has been a long time, but finally I found myself a new puddle! : D

This was my first year as a vendor at puddle. It was a lot of work and as I was told, you have less time for other things and going around the other tables. We sold a lot and I hope that this helps to get my name out as a customizer. It was fun though, I just wish I had more time to talk with everyone.
Maybe the one good thing about terrible parking lots. Just happened to catch this shot by chance, glad I did!
Spring has finally arrived in Saskatchewan, and with it we have some great puddles in the park. Saturday evening saw a family trip to the park to go puddle hunting. Of course I planned the trip for one hour before sunset and wanted the puddle with good backlighting. My wife was working, so it was only my kids and myself to work with Eva.
My six year old daughter Julia was handling Eva for this photo in one of the better puddles. Eva was on lead (cloned out in photoshop) and showed her hunting instincts striking a pointing pose for the photo. Although one might think she was pointing toward some water fowl, it was actually a golden doodle walking on the path about 40 feet away. She's a social little pup. I'm so impressed that Julia managed to handle her so well in the middle of a puddle with other dogs walking around.
In case anyone is wondering, the material in the puddle is slushy ice, expertly broken up by my kids in their rubber boots.

This was after a storm in southern California. When it rains in the desert it seems like it's all at once...and then it's done...creates great puddles!
I was tagged by www.flickr.com/photos/58394948@N03/ to do ten random facts about me. If you're bored..really bored...
1) the wife and I have four boys and no girls. yes ladies, you should feel sorry for her.
2) I got my first camera when I was ten and have been into photography ever since
3) At the end of June I'm going to Alaska. If I don't come back with some good shots...well maybe I won't come back. Heck, I may not come back regardless.
4) Until the first snow comes...then I'll leave. I hate the cold. In my version of hell there is no fire and brimstone, only cold, snow, ice and darkness.
5) I work in an office alone most of the time and I love it.
6) There are tunes in my office....very loud tunes :)
7) I'm pretty picky about the people I hang out with so I don't have a lot of friends but the ones I do have are golden.
8) I've broken both of my arms twice, have had several other breaks and an ACL replaced...I'm not accident prone, I just like to play hard.
9) About ten years ago I shattered my left wrist into 12 little pieces when I went off the back of my mountain bike. I can predict the weather better than any weatherman by how the arthritis feels that day.
10) My kids are my pride and joy...well not the oldest so much but the other three aren't bad!
Unedited shot of people at the Rokin in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
I was hanging out around this puddle when a tram arrived and spat out its passenger-load on the other side of the street, a big mob approached and tried to figure out what I was doing, unaware of the fact that I in return kept shooting them, making them part of this ongoing wicked reflection project, turning them into artsy puddle people in the process...I think it was a win-win situation, they got to look at a madman waving his cam at a wet spot, I got to (ab)use them for my Flickr stream, hehe :)
This weekend the lovely Miss Monyart and myself are hosting our photo exhibition called 'Girls! Girls! Girls!' at the ABC Treehouse again, Saturday and Sunday, from 13:00 - 18:00, come and visit us. The gallery is also open on Fridays, if you can't make it in the weekend, but we won't be there :)

Every Wednesday I'm in this carpark waiting to give Les a lift home. Gives me a moment to see what is there each week to phot
Alley puddle between Main and Broadway on 5th St. looking east. All of this rain is a gift for reflection photos and green grass.
First of all thank you Carrie for writing me a testimony. (I'm gonna write you one back ) Responding to what you wrote. I actually don't consider myself to be a photographer at one level, I studied Fine Art at university and got involved in photography because it is one of the most viable ways to make money from creating images. I plan to paint one day...
One way to get rid of a cold? = Stand in a puddle on-top of a multi storey car-park
