This shot surprised me when I uploaded it to the laptop...it actually "wowed" me; hope it does the same for you! :o) It is just a puddle, no ice at all.

In less than a month, my next photo exhibition at the ABC Treehouse, together with the lovely Miss Monyart, will start and I'm still not sure which photos to display there. I'm planning on creating a whole new set of exclusive shots for the expo, but being in the office all the time leaves me only the tiniest windows of opportunity to take any pictures at all, let alone the kind of pictures I want to show there. Luckily I still have a massive archive full of wicked shots, just in case I won't manage to take some new ones that are worth being framed and hung on the wall :)

This is my stepdad taking a smoke break. I've been meaning to take a puddle reflection picture in forever. It didn't turn out how I envisioned so I'll just have to try again. I loved today's weather though...rainy, cool, REFRESHING. We definitely needed our weather to take a smoke break from the heat. :)
I pass by this spot every day on my way home from work. A couple of times I've photographed the silhouette of this tree against the sky and the sea for flickr. Now after the last monsoon rain, there were a few interesting puddles to add variety.

I've bitched and complained about this already a lot in the last 3 months, I am currently working 5 instead of my usual 4 days, and this is taking away all the time I usually reserve for shooting pictures and movies, so I have to improvise and take any chance I get to be able to create some photos on my way to the office, or the supermarket, or wherever it is I'm going. This is no fun, and the quality and quantity of my creative output is diminishing on a daily basis, something I don't appreciate and that I intend to reverse as soon as possible. Until then, these quick snap shots will have to do, I hope you're not too upset that you're having to look at these not-so-wicked reflections, lol :D

Last Sunday the good people of the 'Fior di Gelato' ice-cream shop celebrated their first Anniversary and invited everybody for some free ice-cream...needless to say that the shop was overrun by visitors and we all had a great time and yes, free ice-cream, it was a lot of fun and of course superdelicious, yumyum :-P
If you missed it, I'll try to make up for it by offering you some of my delicious coffee and chocolate-cookies at the last day of the 'MultiCulti' exhibition at the 'ABC Treehouse' in the Voetboogstraat 11 this Saturday, October 30, the last and final chance to spend some quality time in the Treehouse with me and the Puddle Panda lovely Miss Monyart, be there or be square :D

I never let them splash in puddles . Don't know why. But today I gave them the ok. Boy, were they happy about it :D
Yellow Bellied Puddle Frog (Occidozyga laevis)- Danum Valley, Malaysia
This frog is known as the Common Puddle Frog, Puddle Frog, or Yellow Bellied Puddle Frog (Occidozyga laevis) and true to its name I always found it in puddles or in small pools near streams. In Borneo this species is most often seen in marshy areas, small puddles and small streams in lowland rainforest. This species is also fairly variable in its appearance and I encountered quite a few differently colored individuals. This is a fairly standard looking individual.

Have you ever had a Fizzy Bubblech? No? Me neither, because it's from the movie 'You Don't Mess With The Zohan" and not real, but it still has its own Facebook Fan page, lol. I'd like to have a tasty bottle of Fizzy Bubblech one of these days, preferably a hot Summer day...which means never, as this Summer is the coldest and wettest and crappiest in decades, so even if that funky drink existed, my chances of making this scenario come true are practically zero, 'thanks Summer', lol :D

Amsterdam is a lovely city that has a lot to offer for visitors and locals alike, you can find all kinds of fun and entertainment here, and on top of that, we have the best puddles too! On days like today, where it rains and then the sun peeks through the clouds, I'm close to loosing my mind, there are so many wicked things to shoot that I just don't know where to start...I guess it's a good thing that Sony is simply not able to fix my Camera, even after 4 months of trying, lol :D
