Every guest at PUDDLE gets to choose a door prize. We line up in random order, based on numbers in the gift bags, and it's one of my favorite parts of the day as new people meet each other. In 2017, for our Tea Party, door prize choices will include rement sets from three different tea series! Mickey and Minnie, Macha, and Doraemon, all super cute!

Puddle Jumping
Extra Info:
It has been raining sooooo much here lately. I know we get a lot of rain, but even for here, it was quite a lot. The funny story behind this was that the sun kept peeking out while I was trying to do this shot.
At least the recent rain provided an opportunity to get my first reflection for the latest studio 26 assignment!
The sun was out, the rain was falling and I was standing at the side of a road taking photos of a puddle...
Spent a little time playing in the puddles this evening. Due to the lack of rain, we haven't had a chance to do this all summer. As they walked through the door, soaking wet, my daughter exclaimed, "this is the best day ever!"
And I think this might be one of my all-time favorite photos of the three of them. It's going to be printed large!

Last Friday there was a break in the bad weather with some sunshine and blue skies. I grabbed the camera and headed out to Ardington - a local village - for a walk around. The rain here in South Oxfordshire has been pretty bad this year, and I found a good part of the village subject to large puddles. In some cases, road-sized puddles. A large number of properties had small lakes in their gardens. I see from the weather forecast that we are due more storms this week, especially on Friday, when the worst one yet is due to 'hit'. I'm very thankful that our house is nowhere near local waterways.
My entry for No.3 - Rain, in 52 in 2014.
The reflection of the sky attracted me, but getting close enough to show that, really led to a boringly-framed image, so I've stuck with this, which I think was better overall.
Unedited shot of people on the Dam square in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
I've mentioned it manymany times already, I get lots of confused, intimidated and surprised looks when I shoot my wicked reflections, but it seems that the crowd on the Dam square was not in the best mood when I shot this series, you can clearly tell that their facial expressions are beyond those usual reactions I get, maybe it was a bad day for those people, or they were simply overwhelmed by my wickedness. I hope for them that they're looking much happier today, Life is just so much better when you're experiencing it with a smile on your face :)
I've also shot a wicked reflection movie of this puddle, check it out on my YouTube channel, thank you :)

I hope some of these are slightly recognizable. I had to change what I was doing at least 3 times. Then I started to just draw .... just do it!

puddle: do you think that's gonna stop me getting techno with the 3D!
The clouds make it very clear where those puddles high up in the Norwegian mountains come from.
See more from Norway here.
