It's a lot of fun to walk around and look at everyone's dolls. I enjoy seeing how people customize them. But it's also neat to see some of the rarer dolls or brand new ones in person.
A reflecting puddle in my neighborhood between showers on what was, as you can see, a very grey day. The same day, as well as since, I took other puddle shots, but the water wasn't clean like uptown, and the reflection was muddled, the image reflective anything but pristine. Taken five weeks ago, this tree still had its wintry bareness, but is now covered in green, leafy finery...
Looking at this later, I realized that the puddle had the shape of a profile, upside-down. It took me years to realize it... Amazing!!!

Just to say Hi to Caren’s ducks! He was found in a dirty puddle with one eye missing. Now he has a new eye, clean “feathery down” and his own little pond.
The Pencil monument at Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland. Another couple of days of rain have made more large puddles around the Largs sea shore. To get a viewpoint that gave me a reflection that "got it all in" I had to put my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 on a tiny flexible tripod a couple of inches above the puddle. I took three pictures at different exposures. Later, I combined these using High Dynamic Range software. This technique ensures some detail in the shadows as well as the highlights so I managed to retain some colour in the grass. The Pencil is a monument to the last Viking Battle in Britain in 1263. We won. Taken on 23 February 2011.
More from the thirty-six-ish year old expired film I shot in Jersey City the other day. Some nice grain in there.

Slightly edited shot of my bike, the fabulous Lord Bikenheimer, reflected in a puddle in Amsterdam. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing besides some added contrast and saturation, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
My loyal bike, the fabulous Lord Bikenheimer is in charge of my safety these days, and since the best city in the world is still covered with a layer of ice, the Lordy Lordship has to make sure that I make it to the office and back home in one piece, not the easiest task. We've been through worse things already though, so while I'm shoving excessive amounts of sugar cubes down the Lords throat as a reward for the awesome services she's providing, I'm whistling soothing songs into her ears, and happily she hops over the ice and snow, doing her thing, it's beautiful, I wish you could see us :)
To give you an idea just what it looks like when we're biking through icy Amsterdam, I've made 3 movies of our morning ride too, check them out on my YouTube channel, thank you :)

I've just seen A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood at the cinema. It's a pleasant film - worth seeing.
It had been raining but had stopped by the time I came out.
