Today I was promised a glorious Sunset, the skies had the right amount of the clouds, the light was becoming true gold, but then, the promise was broken with clouds covering the skies. Next time, please keep your promises :) Cheers everyone

Even on the coldest January day in Wisconsin, with everything locked in ice and snow, the glow of sunshine on the distant trees is a reminder of warmer seasons ahead.

You'll see more from me of this amazing flower soon, perhaps one at a time, perhaps as a mosaic. Today I'm sharing this stylized bud of Iris Germanica 'alcazar'—a heritage flower and a gift many years ago by Larry and Flo that keeps giving and giving every spring, scenting the entrance to my home with an aroma that some liken to that of root beer. You might want to explore their interesting photo stream, filled with images of floors, scenery, birds and lots and lots of food.

This morning I drove to work with a beautiful sunrise reflecting off the edge of this cloud bank to the West. Out of nowhere, a rainbow dropped from the cloud bank and continued to intensify as the sun rose in the East. Truly a magnificent sight, I had to stop and compose a couple of shots. Hope you enjoy this light show.

Wishing you a nice weekend and Happy Easter :-)
all of your promise won't let go of me...
i've surrendered my life to your ways
i have learned what it means to obey,
Jesus, my heart has been changed by you.
i am walking the path you made
i am seeking the truth everyday
and Jesus, my heart has been changed by you.
i couldn't walk away if i tried
'cause your love is better than life
oh the sun's shining bright and it just won't set
'cause your love is a light and it lights my step.
my heart is amazed day to the next,
your joy overtakes and i can't forget about..

HI FLICKR.
Okay, I have a suspicious feeling this will be long.
Firstly, I'm sorry it's so late. Every single means of photo uploading has been playing up tonight, not impressed.
Secondly, this is from today. Today Megan and Hannah and I went strolling through the woods and stuff and had a blast, and I have lots of actually beautiful photos which you will be barraged with, if not on here then on my blog. YES. That's thirdly! There is a blog coming. Whether I'll have the guts to post the link on the end of this upload orrrr tomorrow, is a different matter, but there is a blog of mine out there, with about five posts sat happily waiting for your viewing pleasure ;) I wasn't sure at first whether to keep it seperate from flickr but I'm terrible at hiding stuff from you guys <3 so yep. Watch this space. ;)
Fourthly is the story I owe you from yesterday. I feel like I've hyped it up a bit now. It's not amazing, it just made me giggle;
I spent yesterday travelling between the city and town and the coffee shops in each, not as weird as it sounds. But I ended up, eventually, in the common room with tom who convinced me (yes okay, it wasn't hard) to go out in the hail/rain/thunder storm which began in a flash outside. We were accompanied by an upper sixth and three year elevens and the six of us ran around outside school and ended up far more drenched than if I'd spent two minutes in the shower on full blast. It turns out flannel shirts don't dry, and we spent the entire late afternoon still soaked, at theatre. It was great fun, though.
Then, when I got home, I took photos indoors, disliked them, took photos on the gate, liked a couple, but I saw the sun setting behind the trees, and for the first time it struck me that if I managed to get beyond the trees, I'd capture the sunset. So, at that, I flew indoors and sprinted through the house, yelling 'gonnatakephotosbye' at my nan who tried to say something (I still don't know what) at me as I passed, ran into the locked garage door headlong and shoved at it frustratedly until it finally unlocked, then the other door too, grabbed my bike and cycled, with my camera still attatched to a fully extended tripod in one hand, across three fields, until my bike couldn't get any further, then I leapt off and set off at a run up the field but instantly my legs turned to jelly and I almost collapsed (how do marathon runners do it?!) so I half jogged another about half a mile up the field. I ended up in the next village before I found a clearing and of course, the moment I got there the sun ducked beneath the clouds. I was laughing at myself, almost fainting since I hadn't eaten, just going a little crazy. So this is edited with more of a sunset. It wasn't like that when I got there :')
And you absolutely have to go and check out Megan, my photographer in crime from today. I can't wait to see what she uploads!
Right, what else did I have to tell you... okay. To make up for the fact that I haven't 'written' in a few days, here is my blog. I don't know why I'm so afraid giving you that link! But I promise outtakes from today and allsorts, so keep your eyes peeled.
I love you all a lot. Tagged or not, you're amazing.
