A new cherry blossom unfolds its petals ....
Seen on Thursday at a local park ...
Wishing you a nice weekend and Happy Easter :-)
Even on the coldest January day in Wisconsin, with everything locked in ice and snow, the glow of sunshine on the distant trees is a reminder of warmer seasons ahead.
all of your promise won't let go of me...
i've surrendered my life to your ways
i have learned what it means to obey,
Jesus, my heart has been changed by you.
i am walking the path you made
i am seeking the truth everyday
and Jesus, my heart has been changed by you.
i couldn't walk away if i tried
'cause your love is better than life
oh the sun's shining bright and it just won't set
'cause your love is a light and it lights my step.
my heart is amazed day to the next,
your joy overtakes and i can't forget about..

~But you'll never be alone
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
Baby, I'm right here
I'll hold you when things go wrong
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
Baby, I'm right here
I'll be with you from dusk till dawn
Baby, I'm right here~

The promised glorious sky would serve as an ideal backdrop from any location chosen on this refuge. Did you spot the flock of Sandhill Cranes on the far shore of this created lake? We usually come to this site for twilight shots of landing cranes. The already settled birds continually invite the overhead flocks to circle and join them for the night... I love their chatter!

I promise you, the days are getting longer and it will get warmer... I hope... Can someone send some of that Global Warming my way!!!

As a time crunched photographer, I'm often frustrated by the weather. This particular morning was not one though. Taken as I walked into Bradgate Park to photograph the deer. www.ChrisDraperPhotography.com shared with pixbuf.com
Dubbed the Promised Land by a mountain bike film crew, this glacier carved valley on Axel Heiberg Island in Canada's high arctic was at one point covered in rainforest. Now this barren place is covered in fossils and Musk Ox.
it was windy and cooler earlier today, but it cleared up, so i decided to enjoy the earth's beauty, go outside and take pictures. hope you all had a great earth day! :)

Here is the start of my new promise to finally start adding decals and lining to my engines, rolling stock and other builds.
Here are the wheels of my LNER L1 which have all been coloured with a posca pen. Although tests show the black rims sometimes get scratched over a (very) long period of running, it’s a cheap and effective method that I’m happy with for now.
I am purposefully not colouring the rims of the wheels silver, like all real engines; for my own aesthetic desires.
I’ll post more photos of what else I’ve been working on soon and will hopefully have time to sticker my P2 with Alexander ‘s help later today.
Enjoy!
Just the promise of a lovely day seen at dawn that didn't really turn into a really warm sunny day.
The EXIF data is all correct apart from the exposure time - 4 shots combined 1/1000, 1/500, 1/200 & 1/60 sec.
No colour adjustment of any sort just different exposures masked together
And yes I left the ISO set to 400 by mistake for the whole morning :(
Painted using The Elegant Writer Pen, and various Inks including, Liquid Acrylic Inks, & India Inks.
