"Promise Me:" I caught the tail end of a rainbow from a light storm that dissipated quicker than any other I'd ever seen. When I headed out, there were lots of dark clouds, and by the time I got to my location only a few minutes later, the sky was almost completely blue. Normally I would see clouds start to diminish in size as a storm ended and migrate across the sky, but this one really just vanished completely overhead. Some lingering sprinkles allowed me a brief chance to take a couple pictures of this rainbow before it too disappeared!

Sixty six promises
Fell from your lips
Sixty six kisses to
Rest on my charred fingertips
And Sixty six lovers
To come till I tell
Sixty six postions to take on this
Well-worn trail
Sixty six magicians
Deliver the goods
Documenting our marriage for some
Silent film in Hollywood
Is it not what you thought it would be?
Was it not what you wanted it to be
Was I not what you thought I would be?
Was it not what you wanted it to be?
Sixty miles talking
But making no sense
A life out of liberty
And the pursuit of
Happiness
Waiting for something
To smash a few wholes
In the wall of good fortune
And the windows to an
Outer world
And sixty six promises
They came in a kiss
Provided a meaning
Now I see how it reallly is
And it's not what I thought it would be
And it's not what I wanted ti to be
And it's not what I thought it would be
And it's not what I wanted it to be

I made myself a promise that I will go there again only when it will all be dead. Only then, it will be ready to be born again. And so the time came, and I took myself there. To...

Promises likened to
The most fragile of flowers
They drifted on the winds
Of a broken love
After being sprinkled
With black blood
But I held tighter yet back then
In hope that they would fly back again

Thank you so much for the shoot Ayumi!

...on that splendid morning, even in autumn, someone could not resist the temptation, and parking his bike next to a packaged tree promise, he went to enjoy, of those that were presumed, like some of the last rays of sun of the season, on the resplendent green of the garden in front of which it was...
The amaryllis bulbs sold in your local nursery are probably Hippeastrum, which are native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas from Argentina north to Mexico and the Caribbean. These Hippeastrum buds promise lots of holiday cheer.
Hope your week is off to a good start, Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

Waking up in a hospital room after having open-heart surgery, this sunrise gave me hope and the promise of a new day.
“Some people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them," I said.
"Right, of course. But you keep the promise anyway. That's what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway.”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

In Portsmouth, New Hampshire, there's a fence with the special meanings of love and romance that hang on a park fence near the Piscataqua River. I like to call it the love lock fence with solemn promises for true love and happiness. The fence has anywhere from I love you to will you marry me and many other locks with terms of endearment. I hope this Queen said yes to her King and may their future be forever on this love lock fence.

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,485 km2 in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 km from north to south and 65 km from east to west. The administrative headquarters are in Skukuza. Areas of the park were first protected by the government of the South African Republic in 1898, and it became South Africa's first national park in 1926. To the west and south of the Kruger National Park are the two South African provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga. In the north is Zimbabwe, and to the east is Mozambique. It is now part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a peace park that links Kruger National Park with the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe, and with the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique. The park is part of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere an area designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve (the "Biosphere"). The park has nine main gates allowing entrance to the different camps. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kruger_National_Park

I have not given any promesis for this year. That is rather nice. This is my contribution to Photo Sundays theme promise.
Jag har inte gett några löften för detta år. Det känns ganska bra. Detta är mitt bidrag till Fotosöndags tema "löfte".
Giant's Nubble, Adirondacks, NY. Winter was giving way on this morning in March, starting cold but becoming comfortable a couple hours after sunrise, as March mornings do. I had climbed from Roaring Brook Falls through the woods in snow with consistency, grainy and wet with the recent rising temperatures. I came to The Nubble, an open outcrop on Giant Mountain, providing numerous views to Noonmark, the Dix Range, and the Great Range to the right, with Mount Marcy's snow cap peeking through a notch. Once out of the woods I gladly removed snowshoes to wander around with a bit more ease, looking for views across the valley. The icy ledges directly across from me are above Chapel Pond, in a narrow defile too deep to be seen from Giant. Somehow I find promise here. Maybe it is the naked rock I was on, juxtaposed against the snowpack south of me, telling me there were cracks in the grip of winter. Maybe it was the red buds on the hardwoods, or maybe it was the warmth of the sun at an early hour. Maybe it's that I was the man who saw something here when I took this a few years ago. We change: hope teases, promise wanes. I don't know if I'd see something here today. Maybe I can get back to that man.
