This is a project started by an idea from a friend, Rina Matsui owner of the FlowerDrum chain.

this is one of my favourite bags and i've taken it on many travels - it matches my pink crocs! heh heh. abang and i were in hanoi in may for 6 days, and this photo was taken just before we stumbled upon Ipa-Nima (have a photo of myself in front of the shop with this bag, but you can barely see the bag, so useless lah).
anyway, this is a GREAT idea, and it's ABOUT TIME that you put this together!

The European Union is betting big on carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies as part of its strategic energy roadmap to 2020. Ten to 12 demonstration projects are envisioned under the EU’s Strategic Energy Technologies (SET Plan), requiring an investment of up to €16 billion. But lack of funds and a comprehensive planning framework have stalled the projects. Europe now risks missing its target of making these technologies commercially viable by 2020.
What policy measures would give industry the confidence to invest in these costly demonstration projects and help Europe regain its lost momentum? What lessons can be drawn from the innovation policy approach to CCS in the US and China, which are outpacing Europe in this crucial field? And what kind of research results will help assure a skeptical European public that carbon capture and storage is a safe enough bet?
This high-level roundtable discussion will focus on the research needed to tackle a range of technology issues, particularly around CO2 storage offshore and safety monitoring, as well as the path to developing an overarching commercial framework for CCS to encourage private investment.
This is the fourth in a series of Brussels events on various aspects of energy R&D policy organized by Science|Business with the support of BP. A report of the conclusions will be published, as a contribution to the policy debate in Europe over this vital set of technologies for a sustainable energy future.

The Institute for Communication and Religion Presents The Living Word Project: An evening of interfaith student poetry performances. Hosted on November 14th, 2019, the event included poetry, dance, song and musical interpretations of the experience of faith.
Flat Bobby thought it strange to hear the rumbling of thunder when it was a clear, beautiful day in Tombstone. Then he realized it was his stomach - he was starving! So he took a break for a quick sandwich. (It's a good thing Flat Bobby didn't turn around!)

After eight years living on a hill it is so nice to come home to a house on the flat, with no steps up to the house, to be able to walk through, straight out of the lounge into a flat garden and sit and enjoy a cup of tea and some crisps while I look at my plants and one of my kitty cats.

The Robert Pocock Herbarium Project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by the Kent Wildlife Trust and the Natural History Museum. Its aim was to search the Natural History Museum herbaria to find the c240 plant specimens collected by Robert Pocock of Gravesend in the early 19th century. The aims also included making and exhibiting images of this unique record of Kent's botanical heritage, giving talks to local people on this subject and creating a website detailing all available information. The Project began in September 2013 and is on-going.
The project has a dedicated website where information is shared and updated.
I bought this odd looking unfinished cabinet project from a thrift store mainly to get these two drawers. I put on 3 coats of Minwax Classic Gray stain and then let dry for one week. The reason that I wanted these was to use them as gardening starter trays. It's still too cold at night to leave plants out, so I take them out in the morning and bring them back at night.
Today, Linda and Dave took me looking for waterfalls. It was a lot of steep steps away from these three bridges (the bottom one was said to have been made by the devil) but it was a lovely walk.

week 1 theme: Resolution
took this with my fuji p&s of my new SLR, Canon EOS Rebel 2000
I started photographing this project about a year ago and so far I am in contact with 200 people all over the world of which over 40 of them contacted me themselves asking to participate. This has come to show me that it is a project that means as much to them as it does to me.
There is much mythology surrounding Heterochromia and very little fact. It is obviously a condition that captured people’s imaginations and even fears.
Although much of my research on the subject often delivers both inconclusive and vague results, I have continued documenting heterochromia around the globe and collecting stories.
My final goal is to make an album called "Heterochromiacs" whereby I document all the portraits from the project and present both – mythological and scientific heterochromia research to go along with it; the first official photographic publication of Heterochromia.
I bought these frames last summer knowing they were the perfect thing to put the silhouette project in I had been dreaming up for awhile.
