Changes at Linden station.

I don't usually approach the station from this side. But this morning a neighbour stopped and gave me a lift and dropped me on the other side of the train line. I noticed a few days ago that they appear to be creating a new path (or paths, one each side) from the street to the platform.

Thursday, 13th December 2018.

Z-boy and a friend did their project on Roman armor - some research, some hands-on construction.

The building that houses the Grand Hotel in Jerome, Arizona, was built in 1927 and was originally the United Verde Hospital, considered at the time to be the most modern hospital in Arizona. It included a psychiatric ward. Today the Grand Hotel is a destination for ghost seekers, and many claim to have seen a nurse with a clipboard bending over their beds. The hotel restaurant, "The Asylum," is known for excellent food, quirky decor, and the way they go all out to decorate for Halloween.

These "favorite" themes really are tough to narrow down. In the end I chose the vehicle for these reasons:

1. There is usually a sense of anticipation or excitement to be going somewhere and then there's the return trip to go home (another favorite place).

2. Sometimes the journey is just as much fun as the destination. I can tell you all kind of wonderful stories from vacations and the best are from the car rides.

3. Trapped in a small area with my kids eventually led to conversation and that was always fun and interesting =)

Now don't get me wrong, the thought of a long car ride does not appeal to me but for the reasons I've stated, I kept coming back to it as a favorite place...call me crazy!

Theme : Triangle 2 | Alarm Clock

After a week off to sort out the house and move in, I will be back at work tomorrow. I still have some painting to do, there's lots to unpack and I haven't even thought about the garden (and I'm sure the plants I bought some weeks ago would like a bit more soil and some nutrients.

But when I sit on the sofa and look at the pile of furniture that needs moving and the bare garden that needs planting, I see how it will be. I see roses obscuring the fence, I see the lounge tidy and organised the way I want it. I'm going to be very happy here.

Sunday. 18th August 2018

Years ago, when horses were a big part of our lives, my husband and I drove to Columbus Ohio to attend a large equine trade show and exposition. An unexpected perk of the trip was finding a beautiful garden early one morning. Light misty fog added to the scene... it was simply lovely. This is my loose interpretation of the garden, it's paths and a fountain in the center.

If you count the bit of silver used for the sun's reflection on the water, thirteen fabrics were used. Several different fabrics for the grass and for the flowers but only one fabric was used for the stone path to keep it uniform.

Meander quilting in green in the grass and in pink in the flower areas.

Fireworks Australia Day

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 km (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.

The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining omes that house thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The biomes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general; it also has many plants that provide an important and interesting backstory, for example, those with a prehistoric heritage.

Monday, 7th May 2018.

this is from my "project in process" and i shooted this weekend and today i finished some of the pictures. Enjoy

A assingment that later became a project,

A lot of the inspiration i got from a wonderful photographer named Francesca Woodman.

((A young girl, who used her naked body, and created soulfull photographs whithout a sexual feeling.

Dark, beautiful, mysterious. i think at least.))

Anyhow, I wanted to take pictures, with inspiration from her, but still me, and here is some of the result.

I Photographed everything with a Hasselblad, Tri-X 400 ISO film, developed by my self, and spend quite many hours in the darkroom until i was satisfied. There pictures, are SCANNED pictures from the finished picture. So the quality ( because a quite crappy scanner) aren't as good as it should be..

Dandelion - Burbage Common

The Project Neon sign arrived. It is awesome. Come see it in person at the City Reliquary show, opening Friday September 23, 2011.

In this montage I wanted to have a kind of comedic edit to it. What if photographers of that era had access to a smart phone camera. I think that photographer would always have first access at whatever newspaper they worked at to be able to get these pictures quicker. I decided to show the development of cameras from big bulky cameras (older gentlemen), to hand held ones (guy in middle bomber jacket), and then all the way up to a smart phone (kid with smart phone).
