A small project consisting of setting up a shoot with random passersby and getting them to pull a face.

Lighting is provided by a softbox umbrella camera right and a bare strobe for hair light.

It's now complete..............well as far as I am concerned. It still looks a bit sterile in places, but I think I will call it a day. Question to myself, do I attempt to recreate the same place in the late 70s ?..........answer, probably not.

Alice-Project on Tour:
Attending parties, festivals and parades, project days, seminars and conferences, sociocultural and political actions. The grass-roots initiatives involve info-desks, and occasional counseling services, lectures, films and creative activities. The Project is mobile, whether on-board the Alice Van, or in a backpack filled with flyers and ideas.
The Alice-Project circulates objective information on drugs and helps drug-users with problems. It also links Party and Politics mainly in alternative events, music and written materials.

This nest is small, no more than 3-4 inches across. I walked within a few feet of it and never saw it while the leaves were on the trees last summer. The nest builder wasn't opposed to a bit of man-made material.
My triggersmart system that I'm itching to get cracking with but just can't find the time, roll on the weekend.

i have my new addiction, Starbucks Tazo Passion tea...*drools*...plus it's a pretty color...i need more pretty colored drinks added to my day...
Haven't had much time to take pictures, quickly took this one last night. Old milk cans and an old tea pot, I love old things.
Some days, I'm really not to keen on the way things operate round about these parts. Especially on the other side of the freeway. It's as timeless a story as any. Wait until the last minute to drop everything one us.

Located at the very top of Serra da Estrela, the project was almost completed in the 70s but it was canceled at near the end.
It didn't comply with the safety measures due to the strong winds.

Instead of having a figure painting on a wall of patches and graffiti, I decided to go with a cleaner and more simple design. I struggled with fitting in all the concepts but I like the start of this and feel like I could push it a bit further. For my three media I used painting/drawing, digital, found texture.

Here are the highlights from how he spent the year while not delivering presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day...
1. January: Resting up inside with his dog while it's cold and snowing outside
2. February: Valentine's Day
3. March: Hitching a ride on a Mardi Gras float
4. April: Well, somebody has to look after all those Easter chicks
5. May: Enjoying the spring flowers (here Mountain Laurel)
6. June: After all, he IS a Swedish tomte, so he's celebrating June 6th, the National Day of Sweden
7. July: Gone fishing
8. August: Enjoying his favorite summer snack
9. September: Giving the Sheriff a break on Labor Day
10. October: Fall Frolic
11. November: Heading into his workshop with lots of plans
12. December: Time to wrap it up

Look at some of the nice gifties my parents bought me. I didn't really feel like taking a picture of everything, plus I haven't apparently gotten all my presents yet, but here is a sneak peak.

This day was great! You know those days when you wake up knowing your going to have a great day? I had one of those, I got up early in the morning and decided to walk to work today. I was so trigger happy with my camera, taking photos left and right. I got so many photos and so many that I wanted to put up today! So going through them, editing was so hard. I got down to about ten photos then knocked that down to about four then final choose this image.
So how did this photo come into being? Well this photo was taken late at night, I was in a great mood so I stayed around town till the sun went down. As I was walking around High street in Auckland I was passing a food stall. I noticed two people ordering food from it. I loved how the stall light up the subjects ordering food, while there surroundings are darkened but the night, the only thing that light up the street was artificial light.
