Just some plants on the beach against the blue sky.

I got this gal off eBay for $85 shipped. I have nicknamed her Mint-tini! She is my moms Christmas present. My buddy Mouse in a Blouse will be helping me give her a hair treatment, new eyechips, pullrings, sleep eyes, eyeshadow change, face matting... Basically the works. She will also get a super fun wardrobe knit by me, and sewn by Mouse in a Blouse. Stay tuned for project updates!!!!

This photography was taken at Ponsonby road, Auckland, New Zealand. I saw this man waiting for the bus, he was looking back in forth as if a looking for someone to come around the corner. When I was near passing him the light light up his silhouette and his head suck that I had to press the shutter.

This afternoon I was given the key to my new house - or so the real estate agent told me. But it was The Wrong Key. Two calls to them, they couldn't find the right key, they would not call a locksmith but said I could send them the invoice if I called them. A call to my solicitor at ten to five on a Friday afternoon (thank goodness it wasn't ten past five) and they called the vendor's solicitor who agreed to accept the bill, my solicitor called The Lock Doctor and someone was there within twenty minutes to drill out the old locks and replace them. It took about an hour and a half and it was completely dark before he had finished. I couldn't put the outside light on to light the job for him as the switch is inside and we couldn't get inside.

Meanwhile, the estate agent had called me back demanding I return 'the wrong key' as it was the key to another property (well obviously!) and he needed. I told him he would have to come and get it and could have it when I had access to my property. He turned up while The Lock Doctor was there. Having walked past the van with the logo on, and past my door with the man working on the lock, he told me "we called The Lock Doctor but they said someone was already here". Yeah, right, of course you did (no, I did not believe him). He tried to make conversation but I just gave him the key and walked away.

To make it worse, I had arrived via a lift with a workman who was coming to quote to install a heat pump. Fortunately, he was able to see and measure enough through the back windows to be able to quote.

I begin this photo project on the dunes of my favorite beach, watching a drop of sun fall through the clear horizon. Driving to Buchanan beach after being let out of work early was a wonderful idea.

This next year should be rewarding as this project pans out. By starting this project in June, I will have the rest of the summer to practice techniques so that as school starts I will be prepared.

I don't really want to be weighed down too heavily with logistics in this project, but I'll make an effort to post a picture every Friday-ish.

Project 365 Day #38

Dieting, stopping tobacco, put my earrings back in, I figured why not do it all and shaved my head. Couldn't get rid of the beard though.

Central Atlanta Progress, in conjunction with Am Yisrael Chai!, has launched the Downtown Daffodil Project in support of the worldwide Daffodil Project. The Daffodil Project aims to build a Living Holocaust Memorial by planting 1.5 million daffodils around the world to remember and represent the one and a half million children who died in Nazi occupied Europe. On Sunday December 7th, volunteers planted daffodils at the Center for Civil and Human Rights. The flowers should bloom in late March 2015.

My current photography project is on the local shop keepers of Horbury and their businesses. I have been taking images of the owners and colleagues in their premises. The focus is on the person with all their products in shot, showcasing their shop as it is on an average day. I started this because I think local independent shops are a part of what keeps small communities together. As I have spent time taking the photos I have come to see the good relationships the shop keepers have with the local public, how many of them are on first name terms and how much the local community supports the local shops and services.

ROCK FALLS – November 19, 2012. Governor Pat Quinn, joined by Transportation Secretary Ann L. Schneider, state legislators and local officials, today cut the ribbon on a major new bridge on Illinois 40 between Sterling and Rock Falls. The $27 million project included funding from Governor Quinn’s Illinois Jobs Now! capital program and created or supported nearly 350 jobs. The replacement bridge over the Rock River is the primary connection between the two towns and sees an average of 26,000 vehicles each day. In addition to fully replacing the previous bridge and adding safe pedestrian and bicyclist accommodations, IDOT recycled concrete, beams and piers from the old bridge and provided them to the city of Rock Falls for use in the development of a recreational riverfront park.

Pandoro on Woodward Street.

It was the work Christmas party last Friday. I missed it because I was on Matiu Somes Island. There was a prize for the best fancy dress. To enter you had to go into the special photo booth for a picture, then pin the result on a board for all to see. My boss didn't put her picture up to be judged but she did go in her old 'punk' gear which used to be her standard going out clothes. Despite not having entered, she won! Her prize was vouchers for Pandoro so she took the team out for morning tea.

полу-выходной день. небо красивое - голубое и с облаками.

иногда полезно смотреть просто вверх.

כמעט יום חופש. שמים יפים - כחולים עם עננים.

לפעמים זה ממש כיף סתם להסתכל למעלה.

Almost a day off. Beautiful sky - blue with clouds.

Sometimes it's really fun to just look up.
