We built in this cavity to the right of the fireplace with plans to build a bookcase. It only took me two years to find the time to actually build it.

Project Kanya is an initiative by the present Government of Bihar to set up high schools upto class twelve exclusively for girls.

Amongst the other benefits, includes a bicycle for every girl child who goes to school regularly. The move is undertaken so that the children from all neighboring villages can attend the schools.

I will be showcasing this project for a while from now onwards. This is my second major project in the quest of promotion of Child Education in Rural Bihar.

I was pretty stumped with the project for awhile. I had way too many song ideas but no enough time, money, or know how to try them out. (Someday, I am definitely making my "True Colors" idea into a reality.) I turned to my Facebook friends for some help. I got a lot of great song titles but really no inspiration. But three of my friends said, "You Are My Sunshine", which is kinda perfect.

My dear grandparents, whom I loved beyond words, loved this song. My grandpa would often sing it to his "sweetheart" my grandma. They were amazing people and loved each other dearly.

They taught me how a husband and wife should treat each other and how to love people even when they can be difficult. I got my love of music from them. My grandma gave me my love for quilting. I loved them dearly and miss them daily.

I used a multi-toned yellow, a sky blue with clouds, and a great music notes fabric. I even quilted their brand into the lower right hand corner. Finished size is 20 in square. Created in Webster City, Iowa, USA.

Interesting theme for the 52 week project this week. It is to be inspired by a quote from a movie/book/song.

The initial inspiration was:

"What a drag it is getting old." Rolling Stones, Mother's Little Helper

Although then as I thought about it these lines could apply:

"Mother needs something today to calm her down

And though she's not really ill, there's a little yellow pill

She goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper" Rolling Stones, Mother's Little Helper

OR perhaps this:

"I tried so hard to rearrange your mind.

But after while I realized you were disarranging mine.

You better stop, look around

Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes

Here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown." Rolling Stones, Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown

AND not to be left out one of my favourites:

"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines!" Steve McCroskey - Movie - Airplane

A small project consisting of setting up a shoot with random passersby and getting them to pull a face.

All participants where informed of the project and asked if they wanted to be a part. To see the rest of the project you can visit cambrils.tumblr.com/

Just before it snowed!

In the photo, the girl's hair eventually becomes a path to the castle. I really liked the blue color of the paper shards, so I wanted to include those as well. Putting the blue shading on the girl was pretty fun. I thought maybe I could blend out pen with alcohol, but that didn't work so well, so I used paint too.

Oh yes, its a dice game introduced to us by a friend. (Joel that's you!) haha.

Didnt understand how the game was played until 10-15 rolls of the dice. In actual, this is being done by a machine; with a dealer shouting "triple-triple-triple"!!! haha.

Resorts World, we shall return!! =)

Here’s the Full reveal of ‘Project X’ from Me RunDMB and the lovely Jon Paul Kaiser.

Everyone seems to like him so far - next stop is a tweaked head and arm articulation and then it's off to the mould-making department for casting in resin.

As I wind down my project and move on to other creative endeavors, I came up with this apparation with the scary looking alien on top. My friend says he sees demons in all my smoke pictures.

Its almost like a big eye to me.

Maybe one or two more tops, and I'll be retiring the smoke project and on to other creative endeavors.

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 km (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.

The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The biomes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general; it also has many plants that provide an important and interesting backstory, for example, those with a prehistoric heritage.

Germany - Lubeck: Breite Strasse.

Haus der Schiffergesellschaft -

House of the Seamen's Guildhall

Convention house of the seamen and skippers. Only building of its kind still existing in Lubeck, today historic restaurant, constructed in 1535, entrance newly designed by Dietrich Jurgen Boy in 1768. In 1880 new facing of the gable front with industrially produced bricks. Portrait of sailing vessel, tablet with aphorisms and vane with sailing vessel from the 17th century, bench-ends from 1745.

From plaque on the front of the building- the folk of Lubeck are very generous, in that each of such description plaques is given in English as well as German!

shadow mini challenge

Project im working on just for fun!.. and put some skills to the test. This is the Design for it.

Hard to believe that we're into spring and I haven't done a daff shot yet. Tis the season to be sure.

These ones are actually mini daffodils and they're planted along the footpath to the main entrance at work.

These ones were back and side lit given the time of day, but I spent about a quarter of a second composing it. Shame on me!

On my way from the bus stop to the venue for tonight's Fringe Festival show I paused at Te Aro Park and snapped this pigeon. Seconds before he had been dipping a foot into the water and hurriedly taking it back out again, just like a kid on the beach when the sea is cold but they want to paddle anyway.

I left work about ten minutes early tonight - I'm coming down with the lurgy - and just about made it on to an earlier train. Jumped onto the first carriage. But there were no seats so I sat on the steps.

Theme 58: Rush hour.

Supported by Reclamation funding, the Sailor Bar Project is an ambitious, concentrated endeavor taking place on a river that flows through suburban Sacramento County and which attracts multitudes of hikers, cyclists and rafters. The month-long project is implemented via the Water Forum, a consortium of public agencies, business groups and non-governmental organizations.

Contrast 6 : Wet & Dry

A little secret thingy I'm making ;) I'll keep you updated!

About the "technical" (HA) stuff: It's sculpted with plasticine. So far I'm happy with the rough lines, although I have to refine the head much more. I also have to make another leg and another arm, plus the feet and hands, and maybe, who knows, a couple more heads? Sculpting with plasticine is a lot of fun! I'm using Jovi which is for chidlren but works great, well, IMO because I've never used plasticine before *_* It's super cool, seriously! I could shape almost all the shapes with my bare hands *_*

Made this board for our annual NICU reunion, which was a jungle theme. The lion and monkey in bottom right corner were made by my friend with her cricut.

At the actual event, I caught a little girl picking off the googly eyes, so poor zebra is one-eyed - LOL

Pictures from a visit to the Eden project in cornwall - www.edenproject.com/

This evening Rik and I went on the Greater Wellington Regional Council 4WD trip to the Belmont Trig in Belmont Regional Park to watch the sunset.

We were so pleased to get to go. Two years ago we were on the waiting list but didn't get to go; last year it was cancelled because the weather was bad. About 18 vehicles went. Our driver was a lovely young Dutch guy, a secondary school teacher.

Saturday, 13th February 2016.

The calendar says it is still winter but there are signs of spring all around. I snapped these photos on my way to the railway station this morning.
