Tonight, Alya was off so she happily went out with me to shoot my 50mm shot. Thing is, I also shot this with my Sigma 30mm and it was hard to not post that one...lol. I might post it as an outtake sometime this weekend so keep your eyes peeled.

Also, I have a really cool idea for a shot I'm going to try this weekend. I can't hardly wait to give this a try. Not often that you get to try something completely new so I'm pretty stoked about it.

Dave was so happy with his daisy chain, he put it straight on his head. A very minion characteristic.

There wasn't any upload the last days, wherefore I'm very sorry. This can be explained by our local whether which turned to a really dirty one. Three weeks ago it was very pleasant, up to 90°F and sunshine all day long. Whereas it is raining, stormy and just 57°F today...

I got a little off the path of mere mortals this afternoon. I found a little dirt road and not seeing it before I decided to see where it led.

Glad I did too. A few miles into the trip there's a really interesting little spot with overgrown mature trees on both sides of the road which gives a pretty cool effect.

I have this spot pretty well engraved in my memory so when the conditions are right, I have plans for you my pretty....

On a sad note, I just got the news after the Yankee loss that Jeter broke a bone in his ankle....not good news.

I have to admit. It's true. I don't know if I can go a day without either. When things are at their best, the two are usually combined. A nice small compact camera setup, a nice fresh cup of coffee and a long walk is the closest thing to perfection I can think of.

As for today, things didn't go as perfectly as I'd have hoped. The region I live in completely screws up watching anything remotely entertaining on NFL Sundays. The Colts and Bengals games...great. Even though I'm from Indiana, I HATE the Colts. To top it all off. When it looked like they were doomed to lose miserably at home, they pull off a late win. THEN, the wife went to work :(

Anyway. I was torn between a coffee shot and a camera shot since I wasn't really enthusiastic about leaving the house tonight. The compromise was simple a that point. I also worked in a second flash head for tonight's shot. OH, and I ordered a new set of strobe triggers. My cactus are officially dead so I'm reduced to using my ST-E2, which never worked like I'd hoped.

Instead of describing my shot tonight, I went back to the days of showing you instead. Hopefully, I'll have the frame of mind to include these going forward. I always hope to, but it seems I never think of you internet people when I'm out and about. It's nothing personal though, I swear ;)
