The Annual British Truck Racing Championship Made its way Back to The Brands Hatch Circuit for its Season Finale Marking the End of Motorsport for the Season.
With a Massive Firework Display on the Sunday and Plenty of on and Off Track Action The Weekend was Shaping up to be One to Remember.
Many Drivers and Support Races were also Present from the small Yet Nimble Legends Cars to the Much Bigger and more Powerful 1000 Break Horse Power Racing Trucks that will be doing Battle on the circuit Saturday was Looking like a Really Good Start to a Weekend of Speed Madness and Awesome Racing.
Speaking of which Lets take a Look and See what Qualifying will Hold for Each Support and Main Race and Find out who Will be Taking Pole for The First Races of The Weekend.
Legends Cars Championship (Qualifying)
First Up is the Famous and Fan Favourite Legends Cars Championship, Thease Little Tiny Machines Run Yamaha Motorbike Engines within them that run up to 1200/1250cc Depending on the Spec of Engine. They also are 120 Break Horse Power and with how Light Weight they are (1,325lbs Including The Driver) Thease Cars are Very Quick and Very Nimble.
Lets Find Out who came where in Qualifying and Who Will be Starting on the Front Row.
In First Place Taking Pole and The Fastest Lap was (Chris Needham) in his Legend Coupe 1250 with a Best Lap Time of 55.691 and a Top Speed of 78.08mph. Amazing Work there Chris Well Deserved and Super Job for Pole Position.

Junior Saloon Car Championship (Qualifying Part 1)
Next Up we Have The Junior Saloon Car Championship a Racing Series Designed for Much Younger Drivers (Between 14 and 17 Years of Age) who want to try their Hand in Motorsport from a Young Age.
Thease Drivers are Mostly Fearless and always Provide some Very Intense and Incredible Racing Due to their Competitive Nature and Determination to Win and Succeed.
The Cars Used for This Series are Citroen Saxo VTR'S that are 1600cc In Terms of Power Meaning that Every Driver is on a Level Playing Field when the Racing Starts making for some Close Wheel to Wheel Action and Really showing who the Most Skilled and Quickest Drivers out there are.
Speaking of Which Lets Get straight to Qualifying and see who was the Most Fearless and Managed to Clock an Incredible Lap During Qualifying.

CTCRC Racing For Marshals (Qualifying)
Next Up was The CTCRC Racing For Marshals Race a Very Special Support Race added to the Weekend at the Last Moments to Congratulate and Commemorate the Important Safety and Work each and Every Marshal of the Circuit does where ever they go and What Ever the Circuit.
The Orange Army as they are Known as take out their Time on Weekends to Volunteer at Race Meets Marshalling the Races to ensure Driver Safety is a Top Priority in the Sport and that Rules are being Adhered to.
From Volunteers who Clean the Track after Each Race to Flag Wavers to Incident Respondents and even Vehicle Recovery The Orange Army is always on Standby For When Anything goes Wrong. They Have a Passion for Motorsport that Cannot be Matched and a Community that is still Going Strong to this Day all over the Country.
The Race itself Features a Wide Variety of Cars from Honda Civic EG2000 to Ford Escort MK1 Mexico's to even Aston Martin V8 Vantages. Each and Every Car has its Strengths and Weaknesses when it comes to Power and Control.

Pickup Truck Championship (Qualifying Part 1)
Pickup Trucks made their way out onto the Circuit Next and With some Very Fast and Capable Machinery in each of thease Cars Expect to see Very Fast Lap Times and a Lot of High Speed Action.
The Pickup Trucks themselves are Made out of a Space Frame with the Bodies on all the Trucks Just being either Plastic or Fibreglass which Helps to Reduce Weight and Allows for some Very Quick Lap Times around the Circuit.
Engine Specifications for the Pickup Trucks Includes a 2.0 Litre Engine Capable of 220 Break Horse Power and Much like The Legends Cars they are Still Very Nimble at High Speeds Resulting in Full concentration and Skill to ensure Victory on the Race Track.

Lastly for the Saturday was The British Truck Racing Championship and after a Really Aggressive Qualifying Session it was Time for each Driver to put their Skills to the Test and Battle it out for a Victory.
With Ryan Smith in Pole Position Stuart Oliver in Second and David Jenkins in Third This Race is Going to be One Hell of a Good Race to Witness.

I did actually rent a little 'toy' underwater digital camera for two of the dives and this picture is about the sum total of all my underwater efforts. It's unsharp, the subject is facing the wrong way and is not parallel to the sensor plane. I toyed with the idea of getting my own 'toy' underwater camera but after this experience I know I would not be satisfied with anything but a housing for my digital SLR and a couple dedicated strobes...
I love birds of prey - beautiful, vicious, inquisitive, precise, and calm when at rest - nothing speaks of self-believe and total knowledge that "there is no better than I" than an owl considering it's next feeding time.
Anyone that gets a chance to just sit quietly and watch them closely I'm sure will agree, it's the quiet moments that tell you the most about these animals.
If it wasn't for the fact that I've seen them feeding, I might have said in my next life I want to be an owl.
I am going to share some more raptor shots at some stage, maybe not part of the 365 project though as I have other plans developing.

This is JJ, he is a Jack-a- poo. He was rescued and barely alive, with little hope from our vet that he would make it. He's 5! I nursed him to health with a raw diet for the 1st year of his life. I have tried many holistic foods to help him, but his allergies always got the best of him. I finally found Precise, Lamb with Sweet-potato, and after the 2nd bag he is allergy free with clear skin and no ear infections! Thanks Precise!

Precise timing equipment tracks the lap times for each and every lap that CP1 makes. Currently tracking at about 43 MPH, 39 to 40 seconds per lap.
A very precise ritual for the lighting of the Flame is followed at every Games. It is lit from the sun's rays at the Temple of Hera in Olympia, in a traditional ceremony among the ruins of the home of the ancient Games.
After a short relay around Greece, the Flame is handed over to the new Host City at another ceremony in the Panathenaiko stadium in Athens.
The Flame is then delivered to the Host Country, where it is transferred from one Torchbearer to another, spreading the message of peace, unity and friendship. It ends its journey as the last Torchbearer lights the cauldron at the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in the Olympic Stadium, marking the official start of the Games.
The Flame is extinguished on the final day of the Games, at the Closing Ceremony.
The Hubble Space Telescope has spotted a UFO — well, the UFO Galaxy, to be precise. NGC 2683 is a spiral galaxy seen almost edge-on, giving it the shape of a classic science fiction spaceship. This is why the astronomers at the Astronaut Memorial Planetarium and Observatory gave it this attention-grabbing nickname. While a bird’s eye view lets us see the detailed structure of a galaxy (such as this Hubble image of a barred spiral), a side-on view has its own perks. In particular, it gives astronomers a great opportunity to see the delicate dusty lanes of the spiral arms silhouetted against the golden haze of the galaxy’s core. In addition, brilliant clusters of young blue stars shine scattered throughout the disc, mapping the galaxy’s star-forming regions. Perhaps surprisingly, side-on views of galaxies like this one do not prevent astronomers from deducing their structures. Studies of the properties of the light coming from NGC 2683 suggest that this is a barred spiral galaxy, even though the angle we see it at does not let us see this directly. NGC 2683, discovered on 5 February 1788 by the famous astronomer William Herschel, lies in the Northern constellation of Lynx. A constellation named not because of its resemblance to the feline animal, but because it is fairly faint, requiring the “sensitive eyes of a cat” to discern it. And when you manage to get a look at it, you’ll find treasures like this, making it well worth the effort. This image is produced from two adjacent fields observed in visible and infrared light by Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys. A narrow strip which appears slightly blurred and crosses most the image horizontally is a result of a gap between Hubble’s detectors. This strip has been patched using images from observations of the galaxy made by ground-based telescopes, which show significantly less detail. The field of view is approximately 6.5 by 3.3 arcminutes.

Delightfully precise mileage to Oxford ! The Crocodile is a stone water conduit carved in the shape of a Crocodile's head which has been channelling spring water from the limestone hills into the River Coln for over 150 years. It had become a little worse for wear, caused by water erosion, so the villagers of Compton Abdale successfully applied for a special grant from the Cotswolds Conservation Board to enable a stonemason to carve a brand new crocodile head complete with a lead lining inside the huge toothy mouth to prevent water erosion over time.

Joe Biden won in 2020 because Covid had turned everything upside down and people feared chaos. They thought Biden would end the polarization, but he made it worse.
A specific feature of the 2024 campaign is that the momentum of the two political parties varies from week to week. In contrast, in the past, you could establish momentum that lasted an average of six months.
Kamala Harris reminds me of Hillary Clinton in 2016. Hillary had a high profile following her political career with Barack Obama, and she was wearing the name of a former president, Bill Clinton. Even with these two advantages, she failed because of the glass ceiling concerning women, but above all by focusing on the popular vote, contrary to her husband Bill's advice to target the key states...
In my opinion, Donald will replay 2016 by targeting key states rather than the popular vote, and in the end, the winner of the vote will not be decided on the character of Trump or Harris, but rather on the best effort to get the vote out in key states.

Joe Biden a gagné en 2020 parce que Covid avait tout chamboulé et que les gens craignaient le chaos. Ils pensaient que Biden mettrait fin à la polarisation, mais il l'a aggravée.
La campagne de 2024 se caractérise par le fait que la dynamique des deux partis politiques varie d'une semaine à l'autre. Dans le passé, il était possible d'établir une dynamique qui durait en moyenne six mois.
Kamala Harris me fait penser à Hillary Clinton en 2016. Hillary jouissait d'une grande notoriété suite à sa carrière politique avec Barack Obama, et elle portait le nom d'un ancien président, Bill Clinton. Même avec ces deux avantages, elle a échoué à cause du plafond de verre concernant les femmes, mais surtout en se focalisant sur le vote populaire, contrairement aux conseils de son mari Bill de cibler les états clés....
À mon avis, Donald va rejouer 2016 en ciblant les états clés plutôt que le vote populaire, et au final, le vainqueur du vote ne se décidera pas sur le caractère de Trump ou de Harris, mais plutôt sur le meilleur effort pour faire sortir le vote dans les états clés.

Viktor Popović, an artist known for his precise and elegant installations, often created in dialogue with the historical and physical context of the exhibition space, has remained faithful to his method in the preparation and realization of the exhibition at Filodrammatica.
The building was constructed in 1890 and has since left numerous traces in the memories of people, records, documentation, while many artists and audiences have left their own traces in the physical space over the centuries. In his search for traces, Viktor found Ilario Carposio’s photographs in the State Archives in Rijeka, depicting the original facade and interior of Filodrammatica, which served as the basis for the graphic part of the exhibition.
The material used in the graphics was collected within the building – dust representing a material testimony of air flow is imprinted on Carposio’s photographs, transforming them into impressions of a very bright spectrum.
These “ghosts” of photographic templates, exhibited as a series of graphics, clearly indicate the inevitable decay of original ideas and material achievements over time. In contrast to the process of disappearance expressed in monochromatic graphics, Viktor opposes an installation based on light, pointing to the existence of life that resists what time carries with it—entropy. Color photographs of the building’s interior, displayed on lightboxes placed on furniture belonging to the building, simultaneously represent a contrast and a companion to the deteriorating structure.
VIKTOR POPOVIĆ is an artist based in Split, Croatia. His artistic practice focuses mostly on installations and objects formed from appropriated and archival materials in combination with raw industrial materials that probe the relationship between the artwork and the audience or the historical or physical context of the exhibition venues. His recent work explores the Modernist heritage of the socialist period in Croatia and focuses on the re-contextualization of the 1960s and 1970s architecture. He has exhibited in numeorus galleries, museums an non-profit venues in the USA and throughout Europe. Popović is an MFA graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb, Croatia and has been awarded a number of distinguished grants and awards. His work has been collected by major public institutions throughout Croatia, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Museum of Contemporary Art in Split, Gallery of Fine Arts in Zadar and Lauba in Zagreb. In addition to his artistic practice, he has been teaching Painting and Advanced Drawing courses at the Painting department of the Arts Academy in Split since 1998, where he was tenured and promoted to full professor in 2018.

Taken a few days later (the day after my birthday to be precise), this is me in the Navvy, proudly wearing a green and white striped Irish rugby shirt by Lansdowne that I’d bought nearly sixteen years earlier at the Aer Rianta duty-free shop at Dublin Airport; after all, St Patrick’s Day or Lá Fhéile Pádraig in Irish (pronounced “Law leh Pawdrig”) was only a few days away.
I say 'proudly' because I’m of Irish extraction, my mum being from Dublin (or Áth Cliáth in Irish). For those who don’t know Irish (or can’t speak it) the first part is in Irish (or ás gaeilge meaning ‘in Gaelic’) ás being pronounced awss or us and gaeilge being pronounced ‘gwayligeh’. Cailín (or ‘coleen’) is Irish for ‘girl, hence the title.
If you think all this is a mouthful, then you should have listened to the news on RTE Radio 1 years ago when it was on longwave 252 at half three in the afternoon because that was in Gaelic, so really it would’ve have been the Nuacht (newockt) ás gaeilge…’nuacht’ being the Irish for ‘news’. I say ‘when it was on longwave 252’ because it should down at the stroke of midnight on 15 April 2023!
Yes, as soon as March comes around, that’s when I start wearing the green. Whereas most start wearing it only on Lá Fhéile Pádraig, I wear it for meaning, because of my Irish roots. Although still a blonde, I’ve reverted to my curly-haired look but only for a few days when I would revert to my ‘big hair’ look before ending the month sporting the same wig as www.flickr.com/photos/202535582@N03/54752555529.
As for the original description, I have no idea because later that month, the account I had under the name of Barbara Cortina was terminated by Flickr for violating their terms and guidelines, without a word of warning (which they can do by the way). Not only did I lose nearly 2500 photos but also their descriptions, not to mention 11-12 pages of favourites and people who I followed as Barbara Cortina. It'll take ages to build up what I have left because half the photos are gone forever.
As Barbara Cortina, I'm no longer allowed to have a Flickr account, because, apparently, I violated their terms and guidelines but did they tell me HOW I'd done that? No. Many of the photos (including most of those I took while at Haven Lodge) are gone forever because I didn't think to back them up by downloading the relevant folders – it was really crushing. Right at the end of March, the same thing happened again when another account I set up (under Barbara C this time) got terminated as well...also without warning for violating their terms and guidelines (which I never did). As a result, I lost 2447 images but this time THIRTY-ONE pages of favourites. Again, it's really fucking crushing.
