I love poutine, but this product from Country Comfort Foods was expensive. I saw it at a Giant Tiger store.
I don't like taking self portraits, they NEVER work, too blurry usually, plus I was cranky and wanting a beer. This one turned out alright.

A "mini" Chez Ashton poutine, it was delicious, the mixture of fresh hot fries, the sauce and fresh squeaky cheese curds are amazing! If you ever go to Quebec City, you HAVE to visit Chez Ashton!
A real poutine (like above) uses (hopefully) fresh cheese curds, any poutine with shredded cheese is not a real poutine, I like to call it a "Prairie poutine", since the only places that I have seen regularly use shredded cheese on "poutine" (I use that term loosely), are in the prairies.

Home made, sort of. The fries are just frozen Ore-Ida fries and obviously I don't have homemade cheese curds. However, Emily did make the gravy herself.
