Oven roasted fries out of fingerling potatoes with an oyster mushroom sauce and some cheese curds tossed in at the end. Made it all with the usual this and that, wish I could eat it with an icy Unibroue, though unfortunately it's a little close to work and the handful of pills I took this morning to be a reality.
Poutine is a Canadian dish of French fries and fresh cheese curds, covered with brown gravy or sauce.
The second time around. Cheese curds and fries with gravy at Chez Ashton with mayo and ketchup on the side.
Poutine, fries with mashed potato gravy + cheese.
You can make your own by mixing McD fries + KFC potato gravy. ^^
These fries are topped with pepper jack cheese, scratch gravy and roast chilies. It' quite the treat for only $5 during happy hour.
cheap poutine from a pizza place after a failed attempt at trying to get poutine at this restaurant, not the greatest but still really good, except I got really full and gave the rest to this homeless guy.
POTTERVILLE POUTINE:
"Hearty portion of shredded sirloin steak and melted mixed cheese and beef gravy all on top of piping hot fries. Served with scallions and sour cream."
Poutine is a Canadian comfort food.
NO, I did not eat the whole thing, but I had to try it.
It was goood...
When I came across this restaurant earlier this summer I was skeptical despite being told by multiple people that they have the best poutine in Canada. My reasons for being skeptical were pretty simple. One, I've never had poutine. Two, I've never had cheese curds or let alone cheese fries. Three, I haven't had gravy in my life. That's the honest truth. On that day I decided change that and to go big, indulge in something I've never fathomed; a Veggie Nacho poutine. What's on a Veggie Nacho poutine you may ask? Well to start off there's the normal poutine: fries, cheese curds and gravy and then they kick it up with salsa, sour cream, guacamole and jalapeño peppers. I'm not going to tell you my opinion of my experience at Smoke's Poutinerie, you'll just have to go in there and find out for yourself!
Poutine (french fries, gravy, cheese curds) with chicken and peas on top (à la hot chicken sandwich).
Poutini!
For those who don't know, it's French fries, a sort of gravyish sauce and cheddar cheese curds.
