First, I would like to mention: “Mettwurst is a strongly flavoured German sausage, made from raw minced pork which is preserved by curing and smoking, often with garlic. The southern German variety is soft and similar to Teewurst.” (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mettwurst)
Second, I want to amplify: During the last years I had my camera very often with me. An immense amount of photos have been shot, most of them rather unplanned on walks through my hometown. With the series I would like to present a few of my personal favorites (most of them are less than one year old). As the subtitle promises: the Photos show undoubtedly/exclusively trivial things.
Fuck you reality, fuck you so much, I want to be cheated!
About the post-processing
For editing I've used the Lightromm plug-in "Silver Efex Pro 2". More precisely: Preset "Film Noir 3" as a basis (nr. 32), but with some modifications. Apart from other small corrections (eg in contrast or exposure) I removed the artificial grain and the frame of the preset and I added a blue toning for all the photos of the series. And: For almost all photos I used a green or blue color filter.
If you ever get to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) be sure and make a stop at their post office. It is quite a structure even by today's standards but when you consider that it was built around 1866 that makes it truly remarkable.

365/15 - Year 13 Photo 3302
This is a natural park boundary post. Originally (I think about 10 years ago) it was 1 meter heigth, but dunes usually walk, so what you see is about 10 cm over the sand level.
Esto es un tronco de delimitación en el borde de la charca de Maspalomas. Las dunas en su natural movimiento casi lo han ahogado dejando solo 10 cm del metro original.

El humilladero de Los Cuatro Postes es un monumento religioso situado en la ciudad de Ávila. Está formado por cuatro columnas dóricas de cinco metros de altura sobre cuyos capiteles se asientan otros tantos arquitrabes con las armas de la ciudad; en el centro del cuadrado formado por las columnas, sobre una peana, se erige una cruz de granito.
Según cuenta la tradición, en el año 1157 los abulenses organizaron una romería a la ermita de San Leonardo (actualmente desaparecida), próxima a Narrillos, en rogativa por la desaparición de la peste que azotaba la comarca. Aprovechando la ausencia de la mayor parte de la población, los musulmanes atacaron la ciudad llevándose todo lo que había en ella de valor. Para perseguirles, los regidores Nuño Rabia y Gómez Acedo organizaron una partida, de la que una parte de sus integrantes se separó para regresar a la seguridad de la villa. Cuando tras derrotar a los musulmanes volvieron a Ávila, encontraron que los que se habían separado del grupo habían cerrado las murallas, y exigían parte del botín para aceptar a los recién llegados. Enterado el rey Sancho III de Castilla, acudió a Ávila, expulsó a los de dentro y les condenó a vivir extramuros, sin títulos de nobleza ni privilegios; algunos de estos se expatriaron y marcharon a Ciudad Rodrigo, que el rey Fernando II de León estaba repoblando tras su reconquista. El concejo de Ávila decidió que la romería a San Leonardo se repitiese anualmente, y para descanso de las autoridades se construyó en el trayecto el humilladero de los Cuatro Postes.
El monumento actual data del año 1566, cuando el corregidor Rodrigo Dávila contrató con el maestro cantero Francisco de Arellano la construcción del "humilladero de la puente del Adaja", que incluía una escultura de San Sebastián y un tejadillo. La cruz fue repuesta en 1995, después de que resultara destrozada en un acto de vandalismo.
Según la tradición fue aquí donde, siendo niños, Teresa de Jesús y su hermano Rodrigo fueron detenidos por su tío cuando proyectaban viajar a tierras de infieles para morir martirizados8 y donde la santa, quitándose las sandalias, pronunció la famosa frase "De Ávila, ni el polvo".

Kaiser loves nothing better than lying in the sun catching the rays. Unfortunately after a sunny weekend we are now back to rain. This one is for you Agnes to show that a cat can be happy even if a big, ginger cat takes over the household.
Another reason for posting is that there is a programme on TV tonight all about cats. Horizon is a British scientific and philosophy documentary programme. They have featured animal programmes before but tonight they are investigating domestic cats. They have fitted 50 cats in a village in Surrey with GPS collars and 'cat cams' I can't wait to see the results. For those who have access it is on BBC2 tonight at 9.00pm.
We've been doing a lot of yard work the last several weeks...planting the 450 bulbs I ordered in spring and moving and dividing peonies...etc. So now and then we give ourselves a reward. Apple slices, cheddar cheese and a French rosé!

mind you wouldn't have been very good to wear today what with all the rain we have had.
off on my holiday on Tuesday so possibly won't get much posted during that time, however I always say that and still carry carry on as normal
