Photographed with a Helios 40, Silver version. A different take of a scene I've snapped/posted before, but here with a better focus on the post.

Not much to say about the editing process here. I blended two images together for focus and exposure and added a few layer masks for adjustments. I had a good time shooting here though. I have shot this post a handful of times and under different conditions, but I believe I like this one the best so far.
Let me know what you think. All comments and constructive criticisms are appreciated.
The first post out of 10, of a bird quiz that I've made for The Norwegian Ornithological Society's nature trail towards Eigerøy lighthouse, in our immediate area.
All photos are taken on our part of the island and by the lighthouse trail.
Tonight we put up all the posters, placed the answer sheets and were interviewed by the local newspaper.
The ornithological society has a bird-watching station by the lighthouse, since huge numbers of migratory birds fly pass it or come for a rest. Luckily some of them come for a rest closer to (or right outside) our home as well ツ
One can also meet lots of birds along the lighthouse trail, like this starling (Sturnus vulgaris) that nested in a boathouse there last year.
(Stær in Norwegian)
(There's a news article about my bird quiz here ツ www.dalane-tidende.no/ny-quiz-pa-turstien-til-eigeroy-fyr...)

“Fort Courage, Arizona. A tourist trading post already faded into the past. I pulled into the parking lot to find the gas station, restaurant and trading post all closed. And for what appeared to be quite some time. But that was okay with me, no crowds to worry about and I could walk freely about the area.
Fort Courage was inspired by the 1960s television show, “F-Troop.” Anyone who has seen the short-lived series (I still remember parts of the theme song) will recall that Fort Courage was the name of the wilderness outpost in the program. I imagine that during the late 1960s and 1970s, this was a very popular stop for travelers along Route 66 and I-40. Among the amenities were a coffee shop, gas station, grocery store, trading post, motel units, trailer park and campground.” Elliott Koeppel. We drove by and made a quick stop. 4years after Mr. Koeppel’s visit, Fort Courage was deserted and up For Sale!! Seems like a complete travesty to me....

The Post Tower is the headquarters of the logistic company Deutsche Post DHL. It is a 162.5-metre, 41-storey office building in Bonn, Germany. It was designed by German-American architect Helmut Jahn and won the 2002 Silver Emporis Skyscraper Award.
It is the ninth tallest skyscraper in Germany, and the tallest in Germany outside of Frankfurt am Main.

"Poutokomanawa is a large, carved wooden post found inside a traditional Maori ancestral house or meeting house, not a standalone totem pole. It functions as a central support post that holds up the ridgepole of the roof, providing structural stability and symbolically representing a carved ancestor. These posts are a form of whakairo rakau, or wood carving, which is a significant art form in Maori culture. "AI Summary. The Poutokomanawa at the Albatross Centre, Harrington Point Road, Otago Peninsula, Dunedin, New Zealand. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the label at the bottom of the post to get the detailed description of that particular post but here is a Facebook description of the post by the Royal Albatross Centre.
"The carving you see is the poutokomanawa or heart post carved from mataī that stands in the middle of the Royal Albatross Centre. It was carved by the people of Ōtakou in 1990, 150 years after the initial signing of Te Tiriti, and beautifully represents their whakapapa, their ancestry, those that came before. Tahu Pōtiki stands at the top, leader of Kai Tahu, and below him are his descendants who travelled south, some who eventually settled at Pukekura." www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1127020052804541&id=1...
