Metro-North Railroad BL14CG locomotive 401 is seen on display at the railroad's Harmon Shop during the 2024 open house event.
This was on the end of a day when the sun went down in the distance and some clouds moved in. I did a lot of post processing on the black & white contrast in that shot. But I like that overall mood.

Here we have the Helvetia, WV Post Office. This little village was really something fun to see. It's quite the small place and you wouldn't know about it unless you had some friends to take you there. Inside the post office is a small gift shop, and a still-operating post office for the local mail traffic.

Following last night's crazy storm, there was a beautiful sunset. This sunset turned everything orange. Absolutely no filters used nor any post-processing
What an afternoon! We did a lovely circular drive around the Lake District, and luckily I chose to do it an anti-clockwise direction. Our last stop was Derwentwater (at Keswick) where there was a glorious low-hanging mist - had we gone there first, earlier in the day, we would've seen nothing, as the town had been covered in thick fog which only lifted as the sun began to set.
I love the fancy dado joint on this corner post, also the bark sloughing off the underside of the rough-hewn diagonal support. Photographed at the southwest corner of the intersection of Avery and Elm Valley roads in Three Oaks Township, Berrien County, Michigan.
