Excerpt from Wikipedia:
Formerly the tallest building in the city of Buffalo from 1901 to 1912. It was designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the old U.S. Post Office Department during the tenure of Jeremiah O'Rourke when construction started in 1897. The $1,500,000 building opened in 1901 during the tenure of James Knox Taylor and operated as Buffalo's central post office until 1963. The highly ornamented Gothic Revival style four story building features a 244-foot tower over the central entrance. The main feature of the interior is a roofed courtyard. It was subsequently occupied by various federal offices. Since 1981, it has been home to the city campus of the Erie Community College.
Its tower is 244 feet (74 m) tall.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places maintained by the National Park Service of the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1972 as "U.S. Post Office".

Aquest lloc és força unic, com a mínim per al Mediterrani, crec. Un petit mar conectat per un tunel natural de roca amb el "mar exterior", es a dir, la resta del Mediterrani. Es troba al extrem oest de l'illa de Gozo, a Malta. En maltès es coneix com il-Qawra (o també id-Dwejra).
Per la part de dins, com podeu veure, hi ha una platjeta de codols així com embarcadors i cases de pescadors. Es pot agafar una barca, com varem fer nosaltres, i travessar el tunel fins a mar obert. El tunel deu tenir uns 50 metres de llarg, i amb prou feines i passa una barca. Per la part de mar obert, tot son estimbats inaccessibles a banda i banda.

This place is quite unique, at least for the Mediterranean Sea, I think. A small sea connected by a natural rock tunnel to the "outer sea", that is, the rest of the Mediterranean. It is located at the western end of the island of Gozo, in Malta. In Maltese it is known as il-Qawra (or also id-Dwejra).
On the land side, as you can see, there is a small pebble beach as well as piers and fishermen's houses. You can take a boat, as we did, and cross the tunnel to the open sea. The tunnel must be about 50 meters long, and a boat can barely pass through. On the open sea side, it is all inaccessible cliffs on both sides.
Today I was meant be at Caerphilly in our aMaSing Choir rehearsals, but as soon as the news broke about someone from the community having gone down with Coronavirus, I pulled out of .it. Subsequently it was cancelled anyway when a number of other cases there were confirmed. Instead this is the furthest I've been today to get in my daily walking regime. To those Flickr friends who have given me solid advice over this issue, first of all many thanks / diolch o galon ; secondly just to explain that I crossed the field at the back of my home to get to this and saw not a single soul..
