Shots of this amazing signage have been posted by me and other photographers, previously. It was the last sign to shoot for me while visiting Fresno that day. I felt it was appropriate to end the day with my own take of this sign. I felt sad to leave all of the signs I shot but it was time to shove off. Then the sun went down...

Hi everyone -- I just released a collection of fall images on my website (www.michaelbollino.com/recentwork). Included is this image of late fall color and badlands in southern Utah bathed in post sunset glow, one of my favorite times of the day to photograph larger scenes in the desert. Post Oak Central is a skyscraper complex in Houston, Texas. The 17-acre Philip Johnson-designed complex includes three 24-story buildings (two visible in the picture).

Relaxing after 9 holes on a very windy afternoon!
Our house is an easy three-block
stroll from the ocean. Perfectly situated for a quick walk on the beach, close to restaurants and coffee shops and an easy drive to the outlets.
Wherever and however we all spent our days, it was always wonderful to come "home", see each other and talk about our outings, enjoy a drink and snacks on the porch, and watch the world go by. There's precious little opportunity for that kind of relaxed pace in my everyday life, so occasions like this take on a very special meaning.
We've been doing a lot of yard work the last several weeks...planting the 450 bulbs I ordered in spring and moving and dividing peonies...etc. So now and then we give ourselves a reward. Apple slices, cheddar cheese and a French rosé!

A fine morning to start the week with, a little late for the actual sunrise but the follow up was just a spectacular.

Awhile back I was challenged to do a painting of a post-apocalyptic Seattle. Instead of doing the very typical zombies and war torn landscape, I went a different route and imagined what it would be like to do a prettier and more serene image. With Seattle being in an earthquake and volcanic zone, I figured it would more likely sink into the ocean than get ravaged by zombies. Here we have the same painting with and without text overlays. Your questions and comments are always welcome. Enjoy.
