Lane way in Melbourne.
I love the yellow glow from the light, looks like a HDR picture but it just goes to show the dynamic range of modern sensors.
Located at 100 West 7th Street, the oldest Post Rock section of this building was erected in 1879 using Gothic Revival style. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
It now houses the Ellis County Historical Society Museum.
With a 2020 population of roughly 21,000 residents, Hays is the largest city in northwestern Kansas. It serves as the seat of Ellis County, and is home to Fort Hays State University.

Plowed snow evolves into all kinds of shapes. Followed by the melting and refreezing, a glaze and filigree forms on the upper surface and edges. Add to it, the afternoon sun, which is always a gift, you have nature's abstract sculpture.

What an afternoon! We did a lovely circular drive around the Lake District, and luckily I chose to do it an anti-clockwise direction. Our last stop was Derwentwater (at Keswick) where there was a glorious low-hanging mist - had we gone there first, earlier in the day, we would've seen nothing, as the town had been covered in thick fog which only lifted as the sun began to set.
