Posting 5 shots of what's eating and hatching from my Port Orford Cedar 'Elwood's Pillar' (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana). Looking for an ID. Western Oregon garden, USA.

Today's Daily Posting - Make a photograph of something cold today. Ice cubes, frosty beverages, or the freezer aisle at the grocery store. So what the heck is this?

It's the latest thing in ice packs - little plastic "peas" sealed in a pouch that you can put in your freezer. I use it on my bad knee (soon to be replaced). To get this shot, I held the ice pack up to the light - and look what I got! Pretty cool, huh?

posting some more old wallet photos

posting again now that the scanner is working.

Make a photograph of a Bank note, either from the country you are in or one you visited

Thanks to Rusty Marvin for the inspiration ... flic.kr/p/bd5kii

I'm expecting a knock on the door - isn't it illegal to photograph bank notes???

My husband, whom I adore, grew up in the Great Depression. He believes in using things up. I have seen his old, patched gloves for a long time,. but today, I felt like weeping when I really saw them. I was in our basement, on the treadmill, and there they were, on the wood pile, as they always are. The old leather and contrasting shiny duct tape seemed to make a statement about the generations, while capturing the light and my husband's essence. He later told me these gloves are 25 years old and have been patched over and over. I love this man and this shot.

...posting another shot from Mannheim Market on 18th July 2009 at the Scott Kelby Photowalk. Somehow afterwards i do like the crop of that shot :)

have a nice sunday everyone!

Some of my last postings on the aftermath of the Bailey-Rugg Building (aka Metropolitan Building ) fire. The insurance people are out and demolition has started on the old Walker and Mulliken Building. It's very interesting to me how a building that was SO on the verge of collapse they had to shut down the main street through downtown for over 3 months still stands even though demolition has started. I still think this building could have been saved if the owners and city even cared a darn whit.

Posting tonight's pic very quickly cos my mate's round. I mean, he's regular-shaped and not actually spherical, just that he's over at my house at the moment. And he probably doesn't wanna just watch me sodding around in Lightroom. Cheers :)

Posting photos in 2020 four years after the event in 2016. These are pictures of the Dexter, Michigan Memorial Day Parade, celebrated every year in our small town.

This year, 2020, there will be no parade due to the Covid-19, Sars-Cov-2 pandemic. So it's nice to take a look back.
