"The dear earth everywhere blossoms in spring and grows green again. Everywhere and eternally the distance shines bright and blue."
This is "the farewell" taken from the final movement of Das Lied von der Erde (The Song of the Earth) by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, which was written shortly after the death of his daughter from scarlet fever.
I called this "the pose" long before the Utata project.
Greg and Linda posing for the camera, pretending to be looking out to sea....just one in a series of staged poses by my crazy siblings.
Totally relaxed in spite of my presence - I think this is a male as it's so colorful
(the genders are rather similar and I'm not an expert of birds)
From my archives - summer 2007 - photo from a close encounter with a couple of totally fearless Wood Pigeons. I used the flash here as it was a little backlit'.
Note; this is an uncropped photo and shot at 195mm with my VR 70-300mm lens.
I went out with my 70-400g lense and i was going to take it to town, on way i took some pictures, funniest thing is that all pictures has came out 40times better with UV filter off. I guess i should buy a more expensier UV filter.

The fourth in a series of birds of prey, seen in Willingen, Germany, during a flight show.
Taken hand held during the show. It was magnificent to see this majestic bird so nearby!
Was invited to my mom's friend's daughter's fashion show and it was awesomee. Didn't get as many cool shots as I expected (I have such high expectations) due to the lights and everything. *sigh* This is basically the best I guess...?
Enjoy and tell me what you think (:
