A pied wagtail (Motacilla alba yarrellii) from the archive, that posed nicely for me on a beach in our neighbourhood.
It is a British subspecies of our more common white wagtail (Motacilla alba), and has a black back and head instead of the white wagtail's grey back and black head.
It seems like the pied wagtails are becoming more and more common in Norway as well. I have seen one a couple of days ago as well, on my ongoing birdwatching vacation on Utsira island.

Snapped this little guy the other Sunday in Grosvenor Park, Chester. He really did just seem to pose for the camera :-)
Myself and Lisa fancied a night out so we headed over to pinks for a little dancing 💃 and a catch up. It was a nice quiet evening and we actually managed to some photo taken in the pink room 😊

It has earned the name snakebird for the way that it swims – it keeps its entire body very low in the water, with only the neck and the head sticking out, giving it the appearance of a swimming snake.
