Pools and waterfalls beside the Watkin Path in the Snowdonia National Park in north Wales.

Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle is an iconic location on the famous Isle of Skye. It consists of a string of small waterfalls, shadowed by the imposing wall of the Black Cuillins ridge

Last weekend's drive to Bath County, Virginia, included a stop at the recently restored Warm Springs Pools. The natural, mineral-rich warm springs have been used for centuries for visitors to "take the waters." The original stone basin of the present Gentlemen's Bathhouse was built in 1761, with the building dating to the 1820s. The 22-sided Ladies' Bathhouse, shown in this photo, dates to the 1870s. Visitors check in at the Reception House, on the right in the photo. The pools are owned by the Omni Homestead Resort, in nearby Hot Springs, and they reopened in December 2022 after being closed several years for renovation. This was my first visit to "take the waters" following the restoration. Information from a brochure at the pools.

Many Pools hiking trail in Zion NP

It was unusual crowded in Zion this time, but there is always ways to avoid the crowd

a) go on your journey at the very early morning

b) go somewhere else, where nobody else is going ( well almost nobody else), like Many Pools trail. Maybe this place is less popular, but it was spectacular and I was the only one here at 7 am.

From the fairy pools on Isle of Skye

Amazing pools in the junction of Marakora River and Blue River in Mount Aspiring National Park. A short 15 minutes walk from the State Highway 6.

I have to say, this is one of the most amazing places that I have ever been to. I have waited so long to come to the Isle of Skye and this alone was well worth it, the Fairy Pools !! Amazing !!

One of the many falls on the path up to the top pools.

This is a photograph of the Fairy Pools; a complex of small waterfalls that cascade from the Black Cullin hills on the Isle of Skye. Despite the calm tranquil scene, the weather was horrendous with wild wind and rain. It was a struggle to keep the lens dry.

Isle of Skye Fairy Pools a truly magical place on the right day

The path to the Fairy Pools has a view of these mountains. The sun was setting and the last bit of sunlight still lit the mountain tops of Isle of Skye, Scotland. www.muttiah.com

detoured via Cape Town to sketch some ocean pools

Another shot from the fairy pools in Glen Brittle. Again very challenging conditions and so sleety/wet that I couldn't use filters - so had to make do with small aperture and low iso. Thank god for the wellies - made standing in the middle of the river easier!

Winter Lights Arts Event at Canary Wharf London.

Pools Of Light.

Location :- Jubilee Park.

My sister Jan and I thought we would brighten up our winter blues by visiting this amazing exhibition, there are twenty six individual exhibits scattered around the dock area.

These large pools were covered in clear plastic tennis size balls, they created an amazing colourful spectacle when the coloured lights showed through.

The Fairy Pools at the Isle of Skye

As I am still indisposed and not very able to get around independently I thought I would upload some photos from my daughter, who is currently holidaying in Scotland

A newly developed apartment building on the coast of Palm Mar, Tenerife. I suppose you have the ocean to get some distance swimming in. These are basically external bath tubs.

I walked right up to the end of the beach and up onto the walkway towards the ferry port, but before going up I found these lovely rocks and pools.

Much better viewed large.

Thank you for your favourites. :O)

This is my favourite image from my visit to the Fairy Pools at Kilmore near Oban. Will need to go back later in the summer with the trees in leaf and a bit more water flowing.

Les Fairy Pools, littéralement « piscines des Fées », sont une série de piscines naturelles situées sur l'île de Skye, près de Glen Brittle.

When I took this photo we were facing a huge storm with heavy rain and 80 mph winds, it was very impressive and difficult to take the photo
