The Fairy Pools waterfall at a very rainy day. The mountain behind was covered by clouds. Handling photo equipment wasn't easy at all while standing in the water. Glenbrittle, Isle of Skye, 2018.
In the week of March 4-9, 2018, I participated in a Photo Workshop/Tour on the Isle of Skye. It was quite an experience! Three out of four and a half days it rained, so it was a struggle to keep everything dry. We crossed the isle several times. Just under bad weather conditions the isle is marvelous.

Wilbur is standing in the pools above Upper Calf Creek Falls. One can wander for miles in the slickrock. We didn't go far as I somehow forgot my water!

Sunset in the mountains of Norway, near the village of Beitostølen. Lots of water pools today.
Talsarnau or Talsamau is a village and community in the Ardudwy area of Gwynedd in Wales. Its population was 525 in 2001, and had increased to 550 at the 2011 Census. The village of Talsarnau is situated on the A496 coastal road between Maentwrog and Harlech, close to the hamlets of Eisingrug and Llandecwyn.
Looking over the Marian Mawr pools on the Ynys-hir RSPB nature reserve towards the Dyfi estuary, at the end of the headland is the harbour village of Aberdyfi.
The Fairy Glen at Rosemarkie
Like Ireland, Scotland is full of enchanted places and fairy lore- fairy pools and fairy glens, standing stones and misty hills.
This is the Fairy Glen of Rosemarkie which is located on the Black Isle (actually a peninsula along the Moray Firth). You must walk for a mile or so through beautiful woodlands to find the spot and people leave little offerings for the fairies along the way so they won't become confounded and lost before they get to the falls. You are never allowed to see the magic straight on. You can only see it from the corner of your eye or with eyes partially closed.

Luss, Its a very small village but where they filled the much loved Scottish soap "Take the high road" back in the 70's & 80's.

A clamber out across the rockpools exposed at low-tide at Birling Gap rewarded us with these golden views across the chalk cliffs. Ravens croaked on the clifftops and a Spitfire gently rolled overhead. A perfect early-Autumn evening,
4 years ive visited this iconic location, every time the weather has been naff, but i did get lucky at last, some beautiful early morning light, it was however a bit disapointing to see the amount of damage tourism is having on skye, i think some measures may have to be taken in the future before these spots are beyond recovery

We are once again in the Erawan National Park near the waterfalls of the same name. And we're still moving from level one to level two. You can see how much there is to see and photograph here.
Here, on this small step, you can already see what these waterfalls are also known for.
Namely for these crystal clear and turquoise water pools in which many different fish cavort.
If you are not afraid of these residents, you are welcome to dive in here and enjoy the cool water. Or you can just sit on the edge, dangle your feet in the water and enjoy the atmosphere.
Wir befinden uns mal wieder im Erawan Nationalpark bei den gleichnamigen Wasserfällen. Und wir sind immernoch auf dem Weg von Ebene eins zu Ebene zwei. Da kann man mal sehen, wie viel es hier zu sehen und zu fotografieren gibt.
Hier, an dieser kleinen Stufe sieht man schon, wofür diese Wasserfälle noch bekannt sind.
Und zwar für diese kristallklaren und türkisfarbenen Wasserbecken in denen sich viele unterschiedliche Fische tummeln.
Wenn man keine Berührungsängste bezüglich dieser Bewohner hat, darf man hier gern einmal eintauchen und das kühle Nass geniessen. Oder man setzt sich einfach nur an den Rand, lässt die Füße ins Wasser baumeln und geniest die Atmosphäre.

At the upper reaches of the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye and the scenery is just stunning. We stopped here, took our shoes and socks off and paddled in the cool waters of Allt Coir a'Mhadaidh. With the dramatic backdrop of the Cuillin Mountains it was a wonderful place to sit and relax.
The milky way rides high above a fog bound landscape, with low clouds in the background and light pollution above the horizon. Pagets pools Warwickshire uk.
The Mammoth pools were in the devastating Creek Fire in September of 2020. I was amazed at how scarred this entire area was from the fire, 45,500 acres burned. The good news is I did see new growth sprouting up out of the land. There are several campgrounds around this reservoir. The fire was so fast that many campers were not able to evacuate ending up waiting for help by going into the water to avoid the fire. 224 campers were rescued by helicopter and taken to safety.
