It was a lovely 12 mile stroll down the Eagle Creek Trail for us. Though not strenuous, it was certainly sustained. Each turn provided beautiful views of towering trees standing guard over a deep canyon. Every so often, the trail would drop down and the river would rise up to meet us. And, the water was refreshing (though freezing!). There's nothing like 12 miles off-the-couch, but unfortunately, life doesn't always give you opportunity for warmups.
We enjoyed one more night by the Columbia River. The food was delicious at Brian's Poorhouse, though I don't suspect that Brian is all that poor based on the menu prices. Cindy has been a lovely host to us at the Mosier House...a simple Victorian overlooking a spectacular sunset.

This is why people think podcasts are for ipod's, This comes directly from Sky News. I noticed this from an article submitted earlier by "mikelgan" Entitled "Machine Gives Full Night's Sleep In 3 Hours"
I went ona short plane ride today with Greg and Viera to get some homemade pie. We didn't actually get pie because the winds were strong enough for Greg to abort the landing on the pie end of the flight. I was feeling bad about myself for being nervous as the plane fish-tailed in 3 dimensions, but Greg assured me that the conditions were objectively "pretty bad" today.
I make it a point to avoid planes. Being in one usually means relinquishing control which I do quite poorly. But, I got myself into this little-box-with-a-prop because I have all the trust in the World in Greg's judgement.
So, thanks for the adventure, Greg, even though it was "sans pie".

Con el objetivo de apoyar la labor de recopilación de información y estadística, el Magistrado David López Muñoz, Presidente del Tribunal Superior de Justicia, recibió del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía –INEGI-, la donación de sesenta y una computadoras.
En representación del INEGI, llevaron a cabo la entrega de las PC, el Licenciado Jorge Fernández, Director de Informática y Difusión, así como el Licenciado Raúl Rivera Sandoval, Subdirector de Recursos Materiales y Servicios Generales.
López Muñoz, agradeció al INEGI esta donación y destacó que darán el uso y destino que corresponde a los equipos, mismos que ayudarán en futuras actividades.
Subrayó que lo más importante es servir a los poblanos. Felicitó al INEGI por la forma en que han llevado adelante las estadísticas y enfatizó que la entrega de esas computadoras permitirá al Poder Judicial, llevar sus propios indicadores.
Por su parte, el representante del INEGI, Licenciado Fernández dijo que para ellos esto es un gran reto, ya que tienen como finalidad que la información que levanten realmente se utilice.
El Titular del Poder Judicial, Magistrado López Muñoz, indicó a los funcionarios de INEGI, que los invitará a los Juzgados, una vez que las PC queden instaladas.
