• Con este apoyo continuarán sus estudios de primaria y secundaria
El Voluntariado del Poder Judicial del Estado, entregó paquetes escolares del programa “Beca un Niño Indígena”, a 30 menores del albergue Ignacio Zaragoza ubicado en la junta auxiliar Almolonga, del municipio de Tepexi de Rodríguez.
Adriana Rodríguez de Flores Toledano, Vocal Titular del Voluntariado del Tribunal Superior de Justicia (TSJP), y María Elena Merino, Coordinadora de los Voluntariados del Sistema Estatal DIF, así como jueces y magistradas entregaron estos apoyos a 17 niños y 13 niñas.
“México, necesita grandes hombres y mujeres, por eso nunca dejen de soñar y prepararse”, destacó la Magistrada Margarita Palomino Ovando quien exhortó a los infantes a disfrutar de su niñez y aprovechar estas herramientas escolares, que serán de utilidad en este ciclo 2014-2015.
Con la firme intención de lograr un desarrollo integral y mejorar las condiciones de los menores que ahí habitan, el Poder Judicial donó una estufa que contribuirá a que tengan una mejor alimentación, además un par de computadoras que se suman a su educación.
Adicionalmente, y a fin de proporcionar un entorno digno en este centro de alojamiento; se instalaron luminarias interiores y exteriores, cableado eléctrico y cortinas, también las chanchas deportivas fueron reparadas y el inmueble pintado.
Con estas acciones, el Poder Judicial contribuye a la construcción de una sociedad más justa y equitativa.

Inauguran Archivo Judicial en Ciudad Judicial de San Pedro Cholula

El Magistrado David López Muñoz, Presidente del Tribunal Superior de Justicia, inauguró el Archivo Judicial en Ciudad Judicial de San Pedro Cholula, mismo que tuvo una inversión superior a los tres millones de pesos.
López Muñoz destacó que fue elegido ese espacio, ya que originalmente se había pensado en Ciudad Judicial Siglo XXI; sin embargo, en aras de no romper con la armonía del conjunto arquitectónico, se tomó la decisión de que el Archivo Judicial se construyera en Ciudad Judicial de San Pedro Cholula.
Junto con la mayoría de Magistrados que integran el Pleno del Tribunal Superior de Justicia, López Muñoz cortó el listón inaugural del Archivo Judicial que inicialmente resguarda 58 mil expedientes fechados de 1987 al 2011.
El inmueble tiene capacidad para otros 30 mil expedientes, que serán enviados por los titulares de los Juzgados en los próximos meses y serán del 2011 a la fecha.
Fue el licenciado Roberto Jiménez Flores, Director General del Archivo Judicial, quien dio a conocer a los Magistrados las diferentes áreas con que cuenta el Archivo Judicial en San Pedro Cholula.
Hizo notar que seguirán funcionando los archivo de La Teja, ubicado en la 10 oriente 1411, y la antigua Penitenciaría, ubicado en Reforma y 13 sur, ya que es insuficiente el espacio del nuevo Archivo Judicial para albergar todos los expedientes del Poder Judicial
Por otra parte, el licenciado Guillermo Brambila, Director de Protección Civil del Poder Judicial, informó a los Magistrados que el nuevo Archivo Judicial cuenta con un moderna sistema de prevención.
Además, a los trabajadores del mismo se les dotó de vestimenta especial para protegerlos de alguna posible contaminación en el desarrollo de sus actividades.

I am apparently paper-piecing dyslexic and did this backwards. Since they are books on a shelf I'm not sure how much that matters.

I've been told that "youth" is all in the mind. I know I've been riding this planet long enough to make it around the Sun 35 times. From time to time, I have even lost count.
But, I laughed so much at my birthday celebration made possible by the hard work of Renu and the generosity of dozens of friends. I hadn't been to a rollerskaing rink for over two decades and I must admit, I felt just a little bit uncomfortable skating around the rink during the "birthday skate" with 6 other lucky individuals, all 10-years-old or younger. But my friends laughed and so did I.
This theme continued on through the night. There was laughter from all corners of my home. At one point, Matt was making his delicious guacamole which, with Edison's help, quickly became a first grade art project. Edison did manage to keep all 10 digits attached and there were no "surprises" found in the guacamole!
I've got a little bit of a headache today, likely from the slightly over-enthusiastic consumption of "adult" beverages. But, I have a little bit more of a spring in my step from the energy carried over from yesterday. And, I have a feeling that this energy will make my next trip around the Sun a bit more enriching. Perhaps even some of these white hairs will revert to their former shades.
I am experimenting with Gimp, so am pulling out some older photos to play around with. I am craving feedback on my attempts! Here is the original.
This one took forever because I wanted to use a different yellow for the shield. I swear I only have two yellows in my entire stash. I went to the quilt store twice and forgot to pick up a yellow both times. Not my color, I suppose.

Oxalis pods. (aka Wood Sorrel)

Could also be en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis_stricta Common Yellow Wood sorrel, which has the same yellow flowers and explosive effect.
Apparently the main difference between these two species is that one always creeps on the ground (corniculata) and the other is "erect when young," but "later becomes decumbent as it lays down, and branches regularly."
"Both plants are perennial; however, the main difference between the two is that yellow woodsorrel spreads by below-ground rhizomes (stems that creep below the ground), and creeping woodsorrel spreads by stolons (stems that creep above the ground)."
