Shot on iPhone 7 Plus.
This afternoon I went for a walk with my daughter and snapped this. Brisbane is perfect at this time of year - love autumn days.
Green/yellow plus quilt with Kona coal. Inspired by In Color Order and others. My husband kept asking for a John Deere quilt, but this was as close as I was willing to go.
The first time I set foot on Wellingborough was in the early 80s while working in North London. On a day trip to Chesterfield, I stopped off between trains and captured this Rat with a single GUV. Today I visited the same spot for the first time since and captured a 222. Apart from the change in the interest level of the passing hardware, little else has changed. A new footbridge and lift towers, a few missing chimney pots and a lick of paint … and of course … the knitting!

Suffering something of a photography hiatus at the minute but thought I'd break it to share this awesomeness! Plus One Collection came through the post yesterday - my first ever published photograph.
Thanks to Ivan Makarov, Andy Lee and everyone else involved who made this happen. It is really quite stunning - whilst it's great to have been involved in something that's raised tens of thousands for a really worthy charity.

An abandoned cotton spinning mill somewhere in Wales. Abandoned for some time, not sure on the history behind it. Visited with Wiffsmiff23. Ended up doing some obscure macro work as part of the visit too.

The results were disappointing, my own fault for using exhaused chemistry, I was pushing my luck a bit, this was the 35th roll that I developed in the Rollei Digibase C41 kit, and the negatives (including the fogged leader) were were thin and underdeveloped. The film is expired (2009) Kodak Color Plus 200 colour negative.
Le marché de Ballarò de Palerme est le plus ancien et le plus grand des marchés de la ville. On y trouve des fruits et légumes frais, différentes sortes de fromages, de viandes et d’espèces de poissons. Une promenade parmi les étals de ce marché peut être l’occasion d’explorer le passé de l’île. La rue est littéralement envahie de cagettes en bois contenant les marchandises et, résonne des cris, chants et exclamations scandant la bonne qualité et le bas prix des produits exposés.
En collaboration avec le quartier de Santa Chiara, le Ballarò représente l’exemple citadin de l’intégration de la réalité locale et de la réalité bien au-dessus de toute l’Afrique. La nuit, et pas seulement le week-end, la place Ballarò est remplie de jeunes qui, sur des tables en bois, rient et boivent de la bière Forst. Depuis 1948, la Forst est l’un des symboles de Palerme, bien qu’elle soit produite dans les environs de Bolzano et, a sur son étiquette un sapin, élément peu méditerranéen en réalité.
L’expérience authentique que nous recommandons est le déjeuner au Bersagliere, une auberge locale, fréquentée par beaucoup de locaux, offrant d’excellents plats de la cuisine traditionnelle de Palerme à des prix bon marché. Tout y est vraiment très bon :
Des pâtes aux anchois
Des pâtes avec de la viande hachée
Des pâtes aux courgettes
De la parmigiana (gratin d’aubergines)
Du ragoût
Du bollito (morceau de bœuf accompagné de légumes frais)
Le dimanche matin, aux premières heures de l’aube, le quartier se transforme en un énorme marché en plein air où se vendent des objets d’occasion de toutes sortes, des téléviseurs, des pots, de vieux lecteurs de disques, des meubles, des tableaux et peintures, des chaussures, des vêtements, des antiquités, des films, du mobilier comme des canapés, chaises, assiettes, tasses, de vieux téléphones d’époque. Si vous arrivez aux premières heures de la journée, il est possible de faire de vraies affaires dans l’achat de très beaux objets antiques. Toutefois, sachez que la règle principale est toujours la même : marchander les prix !
The Ballarò market in Palermo is the oldest and largest of the city's markets. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, different kinds of cheeses, meats and fish species. A stroll through the stalls of this market can be an opportunity to explore the island's past. The street is literally invaded by wooden crates containing the goods and resounds with cries, songs and exclamations chanting the good quality and the low price of the products displayed.

Anchovy pasta
Pasta with minced meat
Pasta with zucchini
Parmigiana (eggplant gratin)
Stew
Bollito (piece of beef with fresh vegetables)
On Sunday morning, in the early hours of dawn, the neighborhood turns into a huge open-air market selling second-hand items of all kinds, televisions, pots, old record players, furniture, paintings and paintings, shoes, clothes, antiques, films, furniture such as sofas, chairs, plates, cups, old vintage telephones. If you arrive in the early hours of the day, it is possible to make a real deal in the purchase of very beautiful antique objects. However, be aware that the main rule is always the same: bargain prices!
Opinions please...Would the Dog becalled a sculpture or a statue? and would the circular metal item he is fetching and/or performing with, be called a ring or a hoop? Seems like a performing circus dog to me, but I don't know all the right terms. Thanks.
For the "What's in the Background (group), I don't know all the right names for the materials, but it looks like quite an impressive area of brick/stone/masonry type objects that fan out from a small center circle to a very large area holding many of these circus type sculptures, not just this dog.

L'automne est bel et bien là... L'hiver arrive ! Ca amène des belles lumières, des belles couleurs et des belles photos... Mais franchement, j'préfère l'été !!

Autumn is well and truly ... Winter is coming! It brings the beautiful lights, beautiful colors and beautiful pictures ... But frankly, I prefer the summer!
