Mother had bemoaned that "I wear a bikini even though no man would want me." I think different. They're not all staring at your daughter . . .
No matter what your personality, Sugar Mill Gardens has something for everybody. From cute little dinosaur toys and huge sculptures to this wooden parrot on a stake in one of the many garden areas, this place has personality plus some of the most lovely, tranquil settings in the area.
The way the gardens are layed out is really beneficial for photographers, which is why it has long been a spot where the photography students of Daytona State College hone their skills in lighting and composition. DSC is one of the best schools around for photography. Sugar Mill Gardens is one of the best settings for photographs!
If you notice in the background of many of the scenic shots, the colors seem to create depth, and even give a bit of a misty look to the images. That one thing is what I love most about the place.
My third attempt at a photo a day challenge. The first two were horrific failures. Maybe starting on January 1st will make a difference for me this time.
Probably not.
We had some trees removed from our property last week. This is all that's left of one that I really didn't want to lose. It was rotting in the middle and it was close to the house... but I really loved it.
Looks like the famous Inspector Mose's trusty stead , the iconic red Jaguar Mk 11 of the early 1960s . But this fine example is the bigger engined 3.8 Lt version as opposed to the inspectors 2.4 .. and this one is a manual with chrome wire wheels .. a much better car all round ... with or without the TV stardom .

i added some orange and white. still a few changes to make, but i'm happier with this version than the last.
...plus c'est la même chose.
When I used to frequent Tonbridge West Yard in the 1980s, taking the long way round from school to the station, there were usually a few 73s on show - albeit not the re-engined variety. GBRf's 73963 waits for its next task as 73141 shunts RHTT wagons in the background.
Locomotives: GB Railfreight Class 73/9 73963 "Janice" and Class 73/1 73141 "Charlotte".
Location: Tonbridge West Yard, Kent.

The Macintosh Plus computer is the third model in the Macintosh line, introduced on January 16, 1986, two years after the original Macintosh and a little more than a year after the Macintosh 512K, with a price tag of US$2599. As an evolutionary improvement over the 512K, it shipped with 1 MB of RAM standard, expandable to 4 MB, and an external SCSI peripheral bus, among smaller improvements. It originally had the same generally beige-colored case as the original Macintosh ("Pantone 453"), but in 1987, the case color was changed to the long-lived, warm gray "Platinum" color. It is the earliest Macintosh model able to run System 7 OS.
