Generally quite dark compared to other orb web spiders and can be found close to water where their webs are spun on fencing, buildings and bridges and rarely on vegetation. Close to a river near me where I live a river flows under a road in a tunnel these Orbweb spiders can be found and seen in their webs close to the lights that help to light up the pathway where they have the best of both worlds, warmth from the lights where I have even seen the adults spiders here in February with snow outside and plus their prey such as moths and flies are attracted to the lights also. Its amazing to see their webs so close together and not eating each other, nature can be truly amazing at times.

La Mésange bleue est une petite mésange qui tire son nom de la couleur bleue de sa calotte, de ses ailes et de sa queue. Sa tête est remarquable. La face, largement blanche, est barrée de trois traits bleu sombre à noirs, deux traits qui passent par l'œil pour rejoindre la nuque de même couleur, et un large trait qui rejoint un collier, qui lui-même borde les joues blanches et rejoint la nuque. Le mâle adulte se distingue à la teinte bleue du plumage plus marquée, surtout à la calotte. Le bleu de la femelle est plus terne.

The blue tit is a small tit that gets its name from the blue color of its cap, wings and tail. His head is remarkable. La mésange charbonnière est une grande mésange, la plus grande de celles auxquelles nous sommes confrontés dans l'ouest du continent. Elle est remarquable par sa tête noire aux joues blanches. L'oeil très sombre est noyé dans ce noir. Un bandeau noir profond chez le mâle adulte, plus restreint et plus irrégulier chez la femelle. Ce dimorphisme sexuel n'est évident que chez les adultes. Le bec noir et les pattes sont d'un gris bleuté. La mésange charbonnière n'est pas menacée pour l'instant. Elle est commune et largement répandue dans son habitat. Elle a une vaste répartition sur l'ensemble du continent eurasiatique de l'Europe de l'ouest au Japon, à des latitude moyennes, débordant légèrement le nord de l'Afrique.
-La construction du nid échoit à la femme seule, ravitaillée par le mâle qui lui s'occupe surtout de la défense du territoire.
Cet oiseau est une espèce commune qui donc côtoie souvent l'homme. En période de reproduction, elle occupe le milieu forestier en formant des couples territoriaux qui défendent leur domaine. Elle montre alors une forte agressivité envers ses congénères . En dehors de cette période, elle devint grégaire et forme avec ses consoeures et d'autres espèces de mésanges et d'autres passereaux des troupes lâches qui vagabondent à la recherche de nourriture dans les milieux pourvus d'arbres. C'est ce qu'on appelle vulgairement " la ronde des mésanges " Cela leur procure un avantage en terme de protection contre les prédateurs, mais aussi à la découverte de sources de nourriture.

C'est le plus grand des canards de surface en France. Le mâle et la femelle sont sensiblement identiques. La tête et le haut du cou sont verts, le reste du cou blanc. Le bec est rouge, avec une aspérité à la base chez les mâles. Une large bande rousse ceinture la poitrine et le haut du dos. Le milieu du ventre noir précède le reste du dessous blanc. Les faces latérales du dos, noires, encadrent la partie centrale blanche. Les ailes sont bigarrées blanc, noir, vert et roux. La queue blanche est maculée de noir à son extrémité. Les plumes sous-caudales sont rousses, les pattes palmées roses. Le tout donne un gros canard multicolore visible de loin.
En vol, tous les individus paraissent noirs et blancs. Les jeunes sont plus ternes, à dominante grise.
La plus difficile à réussir en photo, très furtive et toujours en sous-bois. Pour Christina, je lui avais promis il y à neuf jours.

Ailsa Craig from Turnberry, Ayrshire, Scotland.
I took my new EOSR to the coast at Turnberry, Scotland last night to get more familiar with the controls. I was treated to a sunset of incredible clarity and colour. It was so reminiscent of my trips to Portugal.
This is a 5 sec exposure taken 45 mins after sunset. The sky was a warm magenta violet with a band of burnt orange. I found some nice compositions with the flows of water in the sand leading the eye out to Ailsa Craig. I like how the only two tiny clouds in the sky were positioned too. Stunning.
Ailsa Craig is a 340m tall volcanic plug 10 miles off the coast that is the source of floorless blue granite for all the world's curling stones.

Making donuts at home can be a delightful experience! Here's a basic recipe for classic fried donuts:
Essential Ingredients:
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
3/4 cup lukewarm milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling)
Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
For Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Make the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, lukewarm milk, sugar, salt, butter, and egg. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
Knead: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Cut out donuts: Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a donut cutter or two different-sized round cutters to cut out donuts and holes. Place them on a floured surface and let them rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Fry: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry donuts in batches, turning them once, until golden brown (1-2 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
Glaze: Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and let them cool on a wire rack.

The Morgan Plus 8 is a sports car built by British car maker Morgan from 1968 to 2004 and again in revised form between 2012 and 2018. Its instant and enduring popularity has been credited with saving the company and keeping the company famous during the 36 years of its manufacture. Among Morgan enthusiasts, it is deeply associated with Peter Morgan, the owner-chairman behind its design.
Design
The development of the Plus 8 was led by Maurice Owen, an engineer taken on specifically for the role. The Plus 8 prototype was based on a modified chassis from the Plus 4, altered to accept the Rover alloy block 215 cu in (3.5 L) V8, purchased from GM-Buick in 1967. Plus 4's Moss gearbox was carried over and the Salisbury 7HA axle was uprated with a limited-slip differential. The chassis was developed in stages to accommodate gearbox changes in 1973 and 1976, 1995 the body widened in 1976 to accommodate the widened chassis and the wings widened to accommodate larger tires to handle the increasing power and trend for lower profile and wider tires. The original 1968 Plus 8 was 57 inches (1,400 mm) wide and the last was 64 inches (1,600 mm) (with an optional "widebody" at 67 inches (1,700 mm)) From the 1960s and (according to all auto magazines) through the 1980s for acceleration between 20-80mph, the Plus Eight was the fastest-accelerating UK production car. To this day, early Plus 8s are frequently the winners in the 1960-1970 class in the UK.
In 2002, Morgan created a "LeMans Edition" with similar exterior feature to the 1960s Plus 4 LeMans winner. In 2003, Morgan created a 35th year "Anniversary Edition" of the Plus 8. The 35th Anniversary model was built in 100 examples and has a walnut dashboard, mesh behind the grille bars, a "LeMans style" gear knob, and a badge on the rear panel. The original brochure also referenced the fact that the Plus 8 was to be discontinued the following year.
Following the discontinuation of the Rover V8, production of Plus 8 ended in 2004. A revised Aero, powered by a 4.8-litre BMW V8 engine, was placed on an Aero chassis, with Aero 8 suspension, axles, brakes, steering, gearbox, and altered wings was introduced in 2012, They also called this model "Plus 8" and it was sold concurrently with the Aero 8 from that date until the elimination of the Aero line-up in 2020.
In 2014, Morgan created another edition called the Plus 8 'Speedster' models based on the later Aero configuration noted above. It began as a limited edition, but production was not limited to the originally advertised 60 examples. This limited run forwent the traditional roof in favor of a small fly screen and hidden roll bars behind the front seats. Pitched as an entry-level Plus 8 model, they went on sale for £69,999.
