Am Mittwoch, 16. Oktober, 9.30 Uhr, Hörsaal E.004, Unipark an der Erzabt-Klotzstr. 1, werden die TeilnehmerInnen der Uni 55-PLUS herzlich im Rahmen eines feierlichen Festaktes willkommen geheißen.
Grußworte kommen von Rektor Heinrich Schmidinger und von Vizerektor Erich Müller, beide Universität Salzburg, von der Landesrätin Martina Berthold, Land Salzburg, vom Senatsrat Dr. Winfried Wagner, Magistrat, sowie von Hermine Schwanninger, selber Teilnehmerin an der Uni 55-Plus.

Plus was builded in 1885 on Hamburg, Germany. This 71 meters long Iron barque was heading to Åland in 14.12.1933 on blizzard as difficulties started. The crew of iron barque Plus signalled for a pilot outside Kobba Klintar but none came. Crew was forced to seek route on their own.
Instead of finding the channel the ship ran around, tearing hole in to hull. The hold filled water so quickly there was no time to lower lifeboats. Sixteen crew members plunged into the icy water and tried to swim ashore. Only four make it to shore. The other twelve lost their lives.
Wreck is located in regional waters of Åland, Baltic Sea.

Clint Crisher Live- Capital Pride 2003. With many of his remixes and music videos in heavy rotation, Clint Crisher and his catalog of over 100 songs, provides popular material for the likes of XM Satellite Radio, ABC Radio Networks and nightclubs across the country. Clint is a prolific recording artist with 8 plus albums released, most notably, ‘Perfect World' and ‘Terrific Distraction'. Clint's mantra is "Music Is The Reason", with a Pop/Electronica /Dance sensibility and strongly believes in the integrity of his compositions. He has been recognized as a ‘Billboard Breakout Artist' in 2007 for the hit single ‘Spotlight, The Remixes', with his work in demand on both sides of the Atlantic. The Florida native is a multi-faceted artist who plays the guitar and trombone, as well as sings, writes, produces, acts, dances, models and emcees. Clint is musically influenced by the works of Elton John, George Michael and Michael Jackson. Clint's youthful and seductive stage presence has likened him to Elvis Presley, however with a broad audience appeal. Vocally, he has been compared to George Michael, David Bowie and David Byrne of the Talking Heads. Clint's musical compositions are soulful, with an energetic beat and well crafted lyrics. Although starting in the south, Clint has moved throughout the country in pursuit of his passion, performing in such celebrated venues as Crobar in South Beach, Webster Hall in New York, as well as numerous festivals and concerts across the United States. The Vieux Lyon (English: Old Lyon) is the largest Renaissance district of Lyon in the 5th arrondissement of Lyon.

In 1954, Vieux-Lyon, the city's oldest district, became the first site in France to be protected under the Malraux law to protect France's cultural sites. Covering an area of 424 hectares at the foot of the Fourvière hill, it is one of Europe’s most extensive Renaissance neighborhoods. There are three distinct sections: Saint Jean, Saint Paul and Saint Georges.
The Saint Jean quarter: in the Middle Ages, this was the focus of political and religious power. The Cathedral of St Jean, seat of the Primate of Gaul, a title still conferred upon the archbishop of Lyon, is a good example of Gothic architecture. The Manecanterie adjoining the cathedral is one of Lyon's few extant Romanesque buildings. Formerly a choir school, it now houses the museum of the cathedral’s treasures. Saint Jean is also home to the Museum of Miniatures and Film Sets, located in a building that was the Golden Cross Inn in the 15th century.
The Saint-Paul section: in the 15th and 16th centuries predominately Italian banker-merchants moved into sumptuous urban residences here called hôtels particuliers. The Hôtel Bullioud and the Hôtel de Gadagne are two magnificent examples and the latter now houses the Lyon Historical Museum and the International Puppet Museum. The Loge du Change stands as testimony to the period when trade fairs made the city wealthy. The Saint Paul church with its Romanesque lantern tower and its spectacular spire mark the section’s northern extremity.
The Saint Georges section: silk weavers settled here beginning in the 16th century before moving to the Croix Rousse hill in the 19th century. In 1844, the architect Pierre Bossan rebuilt the St George's Church on the banks of the Saônein a neo-Gothic style. In the Middle Ages, when there were only a few parallel streets between the hill and the Saône, the first traboules were built. Derived from the Latin trans-ambulare, meaning to pass through, traboules are corridors through buildings and their courtyards, connecting one street directly with another. Visitors can discover an architectural heritage of galleries and spiral staircases in these secret passageways, as unexpected as they are unique.

I think the Plus is that they are now 25% real fruit juice.... that is not a plus flavored sugar water is the bomb!!
Note that I would never buy these for my kiddos... Popple went with us to Sams Club tonight... Got the kids a "treat", just a small box of 200.... I think Popple can hyper child sit all summer :o)
Erstmals fand am 31. Mai 2017 der Tag der Universität Salzburg statt. An diesem Festtag wurden zahlreiche Veranstaltungen mit unterschiedlichen Themen aus den Bereichen Lehre, Forschung und Studium organisiert und der breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht.
Höhepunkt des Programms war der abschließende Festakt in der großen Aula mit der Promotion Sub Auspiciis Präsidentis, verschiedenen akademischen Ehrungen, Vergabe der Lehr- und Forschungspreise und Vorstellung der im vergangenen Jahr neu habilitierten Kolleg/inn/en sein.
