The eastern gray squirrel is a tree squirrel in the genus Sciurus. It is native to eastern North America, where it is the most prodigious and ecologically essential natural forest regenerator. Mud Lake is home to both the grey and black morphs of Grey Squirrel. They view humans as sources of food and are bold enough to come right up to any trail visitor in the quest for a treat. This one is plumping up for the winter hibernation.

Putting this up not so much for the birds but the overall aesthetics made possible by the confluence of cloud and that ethereal light. To me, the flamingos are a bonus :) The floating feather at left is a nice detail.
