When I was coming back on Phantom Canyon Road in Teller County, these amazing striated clouds materialized just before dark. so of course I had to pull over to enjoy them. It was a good thing I did, as they were incredibly short-lived and gone in five minutes. A solid reminder that if you see an image (or anything else you want in life), grab it before its gone never to return. Life is truly a serendipitous and impermanent process! ;-)))

1 July 2019 was a kind of an interesting day for our little friend Twin (on the viewers right). Twin and mom started to come across the yard as they do most evenings and then another little one came running and caught up with them. They looked like they were playing/bonding together and walked up along our driveway. I took this pic and then they went on their way, it looks like Twin has a new friend/brother/sister. Maybe something happened to the other ones mom, hard to say. I guess we'll just see what the days ahead hold for them. As an update, Twin and Mom have accepted Friend and they have become a family. The mom is still a frequent visitor but only occasionally do I find all three together.

On this trip I got a lot of practice shooting about 200 pictures of two hunting dragonflies in one hour. Once in a while they would rest on the reeds quite near to me :-)))
Male Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta).
Seen at the look-out "Neue Moorhütte" in the nature-sanctuary "Totes Moor" / Steinhuder Meer - Niedersachsen - Germany.
