Photographs from the 1975 Doddington Steam Rally which was held annually for a few years at Doddington House just off the M4 at Junction 18, near(ish) Bath. Held in mid-May one never knew what the ground conditions would be like, whether it would be a wellingtons or sandals weekend, one year I got bogged into very soft ground with my motor caravan. These photographs were taken just before I acquired my first vintage stationary engine and I recall looking at the line of little engines dreaming of maybe having one of my own; little did I know then what was to follow in the years to come. Sit back now, and enjoy these pictures from the 2nd Doddington Steam & Vintage Fair.

We're moving house! Due to the recent changes, my resin midgets and I are packing up and moving to blogspot. This has actually been a long time coming, the janky new flickr just gave me the push I needed to do it. I'm not really HTML fluent yet so Its not super purdy, but we are working on it. I hope to bring you guys lots of fun things like photostories, galleries, and dolly profiles all in one place. To those of you who are not moving, you can contact me at youtube or deviantart (these are seldom used tho). I am canceling my pro account and will only be keeping like my 50 most popular photos here. Please come join us at: andelastictoo.blogspot.com/

Poor Barney, he didn't have a great day today, for several reasons:
#1. It was soo hot, Barney spent most of our first walk of the day skulking trying to find shade. He is VERY fluffy and doesn't appreciate this hot weather.
#2 He was so hot he could barely even bare to play with his ball - very unusual for him
#3 A lab bullied him, stole his stick and barged him away from me at the pond, which he really did NOT like! and a little terrier had a go at him too
#4 On our second walk, he moved just as I threw the (hard) rubber ball and umm it hit him on the head :( Ooops, sorry Barney, my fault, never happened before!
#5 Finally, to add insult to injury, he got stung by a wasp at least once (if not twice) on the way home, for no reason at all, he was just walking on the lead (no lumps luckily)
So yes Barney had a bit of a bad day really :(

"Scaffold," a wood & steel sculpture by the artist Sam Durant, was a composite of the representations of 7 historical gallows used in US state-sanctioned executions by hanging between 1859 and 2006. One of them being the gallows constructed in Mankato, Minnesota to simultaneously hang 38 Dakota men on December 26, 1862 on orders signed by President Lincoln following the U.S.-Dakota War. The Mankato execution is the largest one-day execution in US history.
