Well I figured I'd do at least one model to serve as a tribute to the American PA produced variant of the Golf known as the Rabbit. Perhaps one of the worst cars ever produced, even though it did spawn a pickup version of the Golf that was first known as the Rabbit Pickup and later the Caddy.

With tiny motorcycle in the bed. I just thought the bed looked like it was in nicely restored shape but apparently some daredevil warbler thought it was a good spot to stow his other ride. ;)

This classic pickup truck inspired by cars from the fifties is an alternate model of 10271 Fiat 500. It reuses almost 90% of the parts and includes opening doors, bonnet and tailgate.

A rare circa 1960s BMC Mini ¼-Ton LHD Pickup Truck sits abandoned and neglected on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, Greece. I am not certain which exact year this example was produced, although the original Mini Pickup was built from 1961-1983, with a total of 58,179 reportedly produced. It seems that external door hinges (which were found on all Minis built from 1959-‘68), were still present on the pickup variant throughout its lifetime. This Mini Pickup will have no doubt worked a long and very hard life over here, until presumably finally being parked when something major went very wrong. Regardless, someone out there would still pay money for this, even if only as an original parts donor source.

The red car in the background is a circa 1983-’86 Ford Escort MKIII. Behind that is a yellow JCB digger/excavator.

Any additional information about the vehicle will be welcomed.

I've added this to some classic car groups and hope the term "car" might be interpreted flexibly in this instance!

My truck is back in action. I got the engine back in and have been successfully driving it. This was a photo from the other night when I cut out vinyl decals to put over the tailgate letters. It's nice having it running and driving finally.

-- A sad scene we came across on our recent trip. Back in 1987 a pickup truck ran a stop sign and rammed a school bus full of children. Not even a fire rescue station or the police department, located literally yards away, could save the children or the bus driver. The other driver survived.
