Union Pacific SD40 No. 3016 makes a pickup at Wycon Chemicals in Lindon, Utah the afternoon of Oct. 29, 1986. Looming the background are the distinctive peaks of 11,752 ft. Mt. Timpanogos.
Pittsburg & Shawmut’s Brookville local picks up two loads from the loader at McWilliams, Pennsylvania. One crewman waits to re-bend the iron while two others are ready to make the hitch.
Just gathering time now. I had saturated with color some to try and bring out the "beauty in the beast." Happy Truck Thursday!
Hi, Me again...
In April 2021, I received my first 35mm as a gift from a fellow photography enthusiast. I seriously had no idea what I was doing but I immeditely knew I enjoyed it. The sound alone was enough to give me shivers!! Since then, I have shot a few rolls of film, find myself in possession of 5 new cameras, managed to process 2 rolls at home, 'scan', and now I'm ready to put them out there.
I don't ever profess to be a perfect photographer. If fact, I'm usually incredibly insecure. Digital photography always had me seeking perfection. It is silly because life isn't perfect, but regardless, I feared things like proper exposure and unconventional subjects. (Yes....insert eye roll here!)
The thing about film though, it has given me freedom it be imperfect, appreciate 'flaws' and embrace everyday life in an authentic and unpolished way. Film has given me permission to love the imperfect and see it for all its beauty. Also, the fact that my hands are on it from start to finish....well that... that alone gives me immense satisfaction.
So.....I'm saying be ready for the perfectly imperfect. And just to prove it...I resisted the urge to edit out my chicken pox scars. :-) I'm going to be brave and start sharing what I've been working on and what I love.

After picking up two cars from Universal Forest Products in Gordon, Pennsylvania, the crew of Reading & Northern’s “mountain job” returns to its train.
A two-tone green 1946 Hudson pickup, KXS 146, arriving at the Tewkesbury classic vehicle festival on 22nd August 2021.
This impeccably restored and maintained 1936 Ford half ton pickup was photographed in Connecticut. But, it was decided that it warranted a much more suitable background, and out in a country area where it would be more at home, on, or near a ranch maybe? So, we fired up old Photoshop, packed a lunch, and took a digital ride to somewhere outside of Bozeman Montana where it will continue to reside on my computer until "the cows come home." Amazingly, we got some pretty impressive fuel mileage out of this flathead V8 powered beauty. We averaged an impressive 18.6mpg on our near 2000 mile digital trip, and like all Ford flatheads it did overheat on us twice and finally we were forced to stop along the way to replace a head gasket. But now, she's at home, and right where she belongs!

these are not very common in dhaka. at least, it was not. recently this heritage somehow seems to be returning. all these are waiting to pickup the groom to take his wedding.
