A rare Willys pickup truck built by Willys-Overland Motors sometime between 1937-1942. This is 3 exposures with -1+ stops bracketing, then Photomatix for HDR and tonemapping, and finally Photoshop for the finishing touches.
Big Foot was an oversized truck based on a 1974 Ford F-250 four-wheel drive built by Bob Chandler from St. Louis, Missouri. Back in the eighties I had the scale model of the Monster Truck produced by Playskool.
I was a big fan of that odd truck and recently I built it using Lego bricks. I've used my latest pick-up truck adding big wheels and other little details.
While the original Big Foot was blue I used the white/green combo because I think it looks well.
Credit to Calin's one that inspired me.
P.S. Big Foot is the first MOC I've built after a bad accident occurred me on 26th of December. I squashed my index finger in a chest. On 27th of December surgeons rebuilt the final part of my finger. Everything seems ok even if the finger won't never be as before. I spent many days at home and I will be busy with this matter for a long time. I was scared about not to be able to build with Lego but luckily I can do it, slower but I can do it. 2018 has been a year full of great satisfactions but it finished in a bad bad manner.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and I wish you a happy 2019!

The conversion clearly wasn't done by a professional. But it's fun to see such personal craftwork.
@Kiwanis History Vehicles - Lasauvage, Luxembourg - 2024
For quite a few years, the trend was toward smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles. No more. Maybe it's a North American thing, but pickup trucks now seem to be the dominant choice and they are getting bigger and bigger. Pickups with two rows of seats are most common now and I hear that 3-row pickups are coming. I also read that these large, high vehicles are more deadly because drivers can't always see what's in front of them (think child on trycicle). Pickups like this one often overhang slots in parking lots. I usually look for another spot. I'm about 5'11" (unless I've shrunk another inch) and I'm not kneeling here. it gives you an idea of the scale of this Denali's intimidating front end.
With tiny motorcycle in the bed. I just thought the bed looked like it was in nicely restored shape but apparently some daredevil warbler thought it was a good spot to stow his other ride. ;)
Need me some lovin'! From 1932 to 1938, the Terraplane was a lower priced model of Hudson, even producing a pickup based on the sedan--think Ranchero or El Camino, but twenty years earlier.

A Toyota pickup truck from the mid-1980s makes a quick appearance behind The Pasty Kitchen, a popular Los Alamitos tradition for take-out food. A pasty is a hand-held meat/potato/vegetable pie in a crust, originally from Cornwall and Devon in the UK.
This Toyota was in very good condition, clean and very straight. Although not pristine in appearance anymore, it appears to have been maintained very well.
Though the late afternoon sun is beginning to cast long shadows, this Toyota pickup will most likely live to see tomorrow and many more days beyond.
London NW plates. This was the Peugeot pickup I spotted last week, though in a completely different location.

This used to be a common pickup back in the days. Rare to see one in 2018. I also love the wooden bed and patina, looks like it come from the middle east
