…After nearly endless days of overcast skies, due to either rainy or snowy weather, I think this little junco was enjoying the sun as much as I was…?…You never know. ;-) Anyways, the welcomed sunshine and bright blue sky, had me humming the tune below, nearly all day... :-)

I Can See Clearly Now:

Thanks for looking, and if this picture or any further ones I add to my photo stream move you to leave me a comment, or fave it for that matter, I thank you for that. I just want you to know you needn’t hurry though, as once it’s uploaded it’s not going anywhere that I know of, and only if you wish, you can peek at my pictures anytime. ;-)

Also, because of the way my life away from flickr is right now, I’m most certain I won’t be able to keep up as I have in the past..which really hasn’t been all that good lately anyways, but I‘m sure going to try. Have a wonderful sunshiny day, and again thanks for looking. :-)

For some of us, growing up can take a long time. And I don't mean growing into an adult, I mean REALLY growing up, becoming a person you're proud to be. Growing into your soul, so to speak. For some, a few soft whispers to their soul at important junctures in their lives is all is takes. Unfortunately, I was never one of those people. I was too busy trying to live my life to see that I wasn't really living at all. Funny thing is that life has a way of teaching us what we need to know, whether we're listening or not. It shouts at you. LOUDLY. Then, when you're finally ready to listen, it begins to speak softly to you of love, dreams and hope and how, if you just have faith of the heart, you can gain strength of the soul. Amazing, that :)

Faith of the Heart by Russell Watson

It's been a long road

Getting from there to here

It's been a long time

But my time is finally near

And I will see my dream come alive at last,

I will touch the sky

And they're not gonna hold me down no more

No, they're not gonna change my mind

Cause I've got faith of the heart

I'm going where my heart will take me

I've got faith to believe

I can do anything

I've got strength of the soul

And no one's gonna bend or break me

I can reach any star

I've got faith

Faith of the heart...

In fact, I "hate" those classical landmarks (too crowded)...but I couldn't miss this special one. A couple of weeks ago, my son david learned about the Romans in school and he knew a lot more about the Colosseum than me or my wife did. So it was quite a big deal for him.

The Colosseum, or the Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: Amphitheatrum Flavium, Italian Anfiteatro Flavio or Colosseo), is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering.

Occupying a site just east of the Roman Forum, its construction started in 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under Titus, with further modifications being made during Domitian's reign (81–96). The name "Amphitheatrum Flavium" derives from both Vespasian's and Titus's family name (Flavius, from the gens Flavia).

Capable of seating 50,000 spectators, the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry, and a Christian shrine.

Although in the 21st century it stays partially ruined because of damage caused by devastating earthquakes and stone-robbers, the Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome. It is one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions and still has close connections with the Roman Catholic Church, as each Good Friday the Pope leads a torchlit "Way of the Cross" procession that starts in the area around the Colosseum.

The Colosseum is also depicted on the Italian version of the five-cent euro coin.

The Colosseum's original Latin name was Amphitheatrum Flavium, often anglicized as Flavian Amphitheater. The building was constructed by emperors of the Flavian dynasty, hence its original name, after the reign of Emperor Nero. This name is still used in modern English, but generally the structure is better known as the Colosseum. In antiquity, Romans may have referred to the Colosseum by the unofficial name Amphitheatrum Caesareum; this name could have been strictly poetic as it was not exclusive to the Colosseum; Vespasian and Titus, builders of the Colosseum, also constructed an amphitheater of the same name in Puteoli (modern Pozzuoli).

The name Colosseum has long been believed to be derived from a colossal statue of Nero nearby (the statue of Nero was named after the Colossus of Rhodes). This statue was later remodeled by Nero's successors into the likeness of Helios (Sol) or Apollo, the sun god, by adding the appropriate solar crown. Nero's head was also replaced several times with the heads of succeeding emperors. Despite its pagan links, the statue remained standing well into the medieval era and was credited with magical powers. It came to be seen as an iconic symbol of the permanence of Rome.

In the 8th century, a famous epigram attributed to the Venerable Bede celebrated the symbolic significance of the statue in a prophecy that is variously quoted: Quamdiu stat Colisæus, stat et Roma; quando cadet colisæus, cadet et Roma; quando cadet Roma, cadet et mundus ("as long as the Colossus stands, so shall Rome; when the Colossus falls, Rome shall fall; when Rome falls, so falls the world"). This is often mistranslated to refer to the Colosseum rather than the Colossus (as in, for instance, Byron's poem Childe Harold's Pilgrimage). However, at the time that the Pseudo-Bede wrote, the masculine noun coliseus was applied to the statue rather than to what was still known as the Flavian amphitheatre.

The Colossus did eventually fall, possibly being pulled down to reuse its bronze. By the year 1000 the name "Colosseum" had been coined to refer to the amphitheatre. The statue itself was largely forgotten and only its base survives, situated between the Colosseum and the nearby Temple of Venus and Roma.

The name further evolved to Coliseum during the Middle Ages. In Italy, the amphitheatre is still known as il Colosseo, and other Romance languages have come to use similar forms such as le Colisée (French), el Coliseo (Spanish) and o Coliseu (Portuguese).

ENGLISH

Cirrus clouds are characterized by thin, wisplike strands, often accompanied by tufts, leading to their common (non-standard) name of 'mare's tail'. Sometimes these brownish clouds are so extensive that they are virtually indistinguishable from one another, forming a veil or sheet called "cirrostratus". Sometimes convection at high altitudes produces another form of cirrus called "cirrocumulus", a pattern of small cloud tufts which include droplets of supercooled water.

Many cirrus clouds produce hair like filaments made of the heavier [ice] crystals that precipitate from them. These "fall streaks", a form of virga, often indicate the difference in the motion of air (wind shear) between the upper part of the cirrus cloud and the air below it. Sometimes the top of the cirrus cloud is moving rapidly above a slower layer of air, or the streak is falling into a faster moving lower layer. The directions of these winds can also vary.

CASTELLANO

E stai come lamentandoti, farfalla turbante.

Shot it at GANGASAGAR Fair.

Gangasagar Mela(fair) is the largest fair celebrated in West Bengal. This fair is held where the Ganga and the Bay of Bengal form a nexus. Hence the name Gangasagar Mela. The river Ganga which originates in the Gangotri glacier in the snow clad Himalayas, descends down the mountains, reaches the plains at Haridwar, flows through ancient pilgrimage sites such as Benares and Prayag, and drains into the Bay of Bengal. Sagar Island, at the mouth of the river Hooghly in Bengal where the Ganga breaks up into hundreds of streams, and drains into the sea, is honored as a pilgrimage site.

A dip in the ocean, where the Ganga drains into the sea is considered to be of great religious significance particularly on the Makara Sankranti day when the sun makes a transition to Capricorn from Sagittarius and this town becomes home to vast fairs, drawing visitors and recluses from all over the state. There is a common belief among the locals that the girls who take the holy dip get handsome grooms and the boys get beautiful brides. When they are done with the ritual obligations, they head towards the Kapilmuni Temple situated nearby, to worship the deity as a mark of respect.

After seeing a shot on Facebook of diggers munching there way through this glorious place I just had to pay a visit before its consigned to history :/ After arrangements were made i met up with Mike Ridley , Marko and Simon Lowe and we set about getting some shots. Couldnt think of a better 3 people to spend the afternoon/evening with photographising :) Please check out their streams for a few different views on a wonderful place and please get down there before its too late! This tank is the best to photograph i think and the most complete as it still has the bridge albeit collapsed! The water in it gives some amazing reflections.

The Koutoubia Mosque (Arabic: جامع الكتبية‎) is the largest mosque in Marrakech, Morocco. The minaret was completed under the reign of the Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur (1184-1199) and was used as the model for the Giralda of Seville and for the Hassan Tower of Rabat.

The name is derived from the Arabic al-Koutoubiyyin for librarian, since it used to be surrounded by sellers of manuscripts. It is considered the ultimate structure of its kind. The tower is 69 m (221 ft) in height and has a lateral length of 12.8 m (41 ft). Six rooms (one above the other) constitute the interior; leading around them is a ramp by way of which the muezzin could ride up to the balcony. It is built in a traditional Almohad style and the tower is adorned with four copper globes.

According to legend, the globes were originally made of pure gold, and there were once supposed to have been only three globes. The fourth globe was donated by the wife of Yacoub el-Mansour as compensation for her failure to keep the fast for one day during the month of Ramadan. She had her golden jewelry melted down to flab the fourth globe.

Day 17 - i thought i'd go outside and try to grab some pics of the moon. yeah. that's a little harder than i thought. i need to read up on what i was doing wrong. i just got a big blurry orb. so instead i decided to try a little light painting. this was my fourth photo out of four. it was about a ten second exp. im not sure if it was the full ten... my battery died either during this exposure or immediately after it. no flashes were used. i just used my trusty Energizer Hard Case Tactical Flashlight to paint the blue. the upper branches were painted by my neighbors security light.

on a side note - just found out i could do rear curtain sync with my cheapo triggers... not sure what im going to do with that, but at least i can do it if i want. this photo has nothing to do with that. i just thought i would share that out loud.

setup and processing (in response to shetha's question): I do have a polarizing filter, but I'm pretty sure I didn't use it here (because I pretty much never do). I think I used a 3 stop ND filter so I could keep the aperture wide open in the middle of the day. Shhh... It's our little secret. Don't tell anyone =D I took 3 bracketed exposures, but there was way too much movement to use multiple exposure-based HDR so I took this one at -2EV (good exposure for the sky) and increased the Fill Light to illuminate the foreground and increased the Recovery to get back some of the highlights from the RAW file that had blown out. Ends up being a similar process to what's usually referred to as single-exposure HDR, since what's really being described there is the tone mapping from the high dynamic range data stored in a single RAW file (while not nearly as high of a dynamic range you can get from multiple-exposures) into something visible on a monitor and storable in an 8-bit JPG. I'm really loving how easy it is to play around with all the most common Photoshop knobs in Lightroom when you don't need to do any local editing.

shout-out to the SetSeeker group which is a very cool forum to learn from other's setups: "We like all kind of photos taken with a previous setup, like lighting, subject selection and arrangement of the objects to be shot. The idea is that the photographer shows to group members its capture and a short description of how it was taken. A second picture as a comment, is a good way to show it, but is not required; just plain English or Spanish will work."

also my uncle left his girlfriend a few days ago (again!) and moved in with us (again!) and the crazy bitch girlfriend our phone number and after she called and tried screaming at me over the phone i had to have our number changed...i really can't stand her...she's a psychotic alcoholic on crank (no i'm not actually kidding) and i hate how when my uncle leaves her she stalks not just him, but all of us and that's the last thing my mum needs...she calls all of our phones daily, swearing at us, leaving us empty drunken threats...i just wish she would grow up and get help but she refuses to believe she has a problem...rawr...

**also, i know people have left me comments with questions in them, i often forget what they were and sometimes can't find them...like now :( if anyone ever needs/wants to ask me something, feel free to message me...i'm sometimes to slow to answer depending on my work day, but i never lose the message at least :D**

Brought my D700 to the cleaners, plus quite busy and a bit tired of Flickr - happens sometimes - but I'll be back and catching up! In the meantime...

About this shot

The shot above is almost two years old and actually only a 'vehicle' for some hints and tips I want to share with you for when you're preparing a (city) trip.

I took this shot with my (old and now sold) D90 + Nikon 18-200mm VRII travel lens, shooting from the back of the deck of a speedy moving river bus. It's fantastic travelling by boat in and around London! Glad I wasn't in the rowing boat though. :)

Preparing your city trip

In the 20th century (remember?) when you were sort of planning your trip, you went to a library or bookstore and got yourself a couple of books and/or travelguides from the place you we're going to visit. That's kinda old skool now.

Here's three simple tips to help you out planning your trip, picking spots with dusk/dawn in mind, and how to get inspired - all in 21st century stylee!

Tip number one: Let Flickr be your inspiration

Unless you're preparing a city trip to Atlantis (*blub, blub*), you'll find out that plenty of other excellent photographers have been visiting and shooting your destination. Take advantage of their efforts by browsing through their images, and learn from their spots and angles. You'll see the stuff that's been shot to death, so maybe you want to avoid these. Most likely though the work of others will inspire you to go out there shooting and give it your own 'personal touch/twist'.

I use Flickr search to get an idea about the possibilities of a certain location. It's a good idea to use more than one search keyword. So instead of using 'London' (for example), use 'London Thames barrier' or even better 'London Thames barrier night' to narrow down more specific results.

My personal tip is to use the filter 'Recent' on your search results. This way you'll find out the famous object you were planning to shoot is being renovated, surrounded by scaffolding - saving you the time and effort of going there all excited and end up sobbing.

An example: London Thames Barrier - Recent.

It's also a good idea to check out websites of a special spot you prepare to visit. For example: This way I found out the St. Paul (London) was being renovated and the excellent view over London you can get there is closed in March/April. I'd rather be dissapointed in advance than finding out about this after standing in a cue for 10 minutes or something.

Sometimes you're curious from what spot a photograph is taken, because you like that angle very much. Unfortunately not a lot of Flickr folks add maps to their images. Maybe to avoid that other people will 'copy' their angles? Tsk, tsk. We will find out anyhow! This brings us to my second tip...

Tip number two: Google Earth / Streetview

You'd like to explore the locations you're planning to visit beforehand? That's possible with (for example) the help of a couple of Google web applications.

Google Earth A useful download, especially with 3D elements.

Google Streetview Limited, but nonetheless useful.

While Google Streetview is very useful - it gives an excellent idea of 'being there' while you're still in front of your computer - it's rather limited because in the end it's only what it is: 'street view'. What does your photographic object look like from a boat in the middle of a river? What's a nice angle from that pedestrian bridge? How's the view from that hill? You can only find out with Google Earth. Pinpoint your location and you can check it out from any given angle. Together with the first tip (using Flickr search results) you'll get a pretty good idea if a location is promising and worthwhile enough for you. Plus you most likely will find out if there are any obstacles or unpleasant surprises making it difficult or impossible to take the shot you had in mind. No surprises for you if you prepared yourself using the tips above!

Tip number three: The Photographer's Ephemeris

Every photographer knows this, or should know it. Scott Kelby told me. ;-) There's only two periods in a day you can take shots that make a difference: at dusk and at dawn. No really!

Well, at home you can probably 'dream' where exactly the sun is coming up (east, right? hehe) and where it goes down (west - just a wild guess), which buildings it hits from that specific angle, where it sinks in the sea or where to find that nice view/spot at dusk/dawn. Now you're going to visit a different city you don't know *that* well. You know about the east and west thing and all that, but it won't be enough to be at the right spot at the right time at dusk or dawn! *Panic!*

Where's the sun going down while facing your object of photographic desire? Where's the moon? Do you want to plan a city trip with full moon? You want to prepare an evening or night session but want to know if it's in your view from *that* specific spot? Now what!?

Here comes the rather excellent Photographer's Ephemeris in handy! This little program is free for PC and Mac, and you will find it here. You pay for the iPhone/iPad/Android versions, but they're well worth it, especially the iPad edition.

You simply pick your spot (wherever!) and the date (of your future visit for example) and you'll get all the info on the whereabouts of the sun (dusk, dawn and everything in between) percentage and position of the moon, everything you'd like to know beforehand about the perfect light conditions.

Excellent stuff! That's the third and final tip, an awesome tool to plan your perfect city trip.

I also recommend Star Walk for iPhone by the way, an excellent app! Tells you everything about sunrise/sunset, the moon and all that. It's not free, but worth the money!

Summing it up and some extra tips

Free inspiration through Flickr, no more time wasting on location finding your way towards your favourite spots, and no surprises finding out the sun is out of range when you thought of catching a brilliant sunset over that stunning city view.

That being said, it's also a pretty smart idea to keep an eye on the weather conditions at all times - huge chance the unpredictable weather's going to be the biggest spoiler of your perfectly planned trip - especially going to the UK - but hey, that's life!

Even when the weather is not really cooperative you should always try to get the most out of your visit, so go out and try some rain shots or even better - when there's plenty of dark clouds floating by - bring your tripod and ND filters to create stunning Long Exposures!

Inspiration with the ND110!

I wish all of you out there a lot of fun with these hints and tips - if you already didn't use them - and happy shooting! Keep looking for that perfect angle, treat it with your personal touch!

My English is not perfect but I hope you can 'catch my drift'! :-)

s it getting better?

Or do you feel the same?

Will it make it easier on you now?

You got someone to blame

You say

One love

One life

When it's one need

In the night

One love

We get to share it

Leaves you baby if you

Don't care for it

Did I disappoint you?

Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?

You act like you never had love

And you want me to go without

Well it's

Too late

Tonight

To drag the past out into the light

We're one, but we're not the same

We get to

carry each other

carry each other

One

Have you come here for forgiveness?

Have you come to raise the dead?

Have you come here to play Jesus?

To the lepers in your head

Did I ask too much?

More than a lot.

You gave me nothing,

Now it's all I got

We're one

But we're not the same

See we

Hurt each other

Then we do it again

You say

Love is a temple

Love a higher law

Love is a temple

Love is a higher law

You ask me to enter

But then you make me crawl

And I can't keep holding on

To what you got

When all you've got is hurt

One love

One blood

One life

You got to do what you should

One life

With each other

Sisters and my

Brothers

One life

But we're not the same

We get to

Carry each other

Carry each other

VER GRANDE SOBRE FONDO NEGRO I VIEW LARGE ON BLACK

Aunque no sean artistas.

I took this photo of the New York Stock Exchange, draped with the American Flag, on Wall Street, on my first trip to New York City in October 2004.

After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the NYSE building is well protected. Not only is the entrance guarded 24/7, it is surrounded by an iron fence and concrete barriers (the planters), AND there was a big pickup truck parked across the entrance to Wall Street here, and since Wall Street is so narrow, it blocked all vehicular traffic on the street.

MORE INFORMATION OF THE NYSE:

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), nicknamed the "Big Board", is a New York City-based stock exchange. It is the largest stock exchange in the world by dollar volume and, with 2,764 listed securities, has the second most securities of all stock exchanges. Its share volume was exceeded by that of NASDAQ during the 1990s. As of December 31, 2006, the combined capitalization of all New York Stock Exchange listed companies was $25.0 trillion.

The NYSE is operated by NYSE Euronext, which was formed by its merger with the fully electronic stock exchange Archipelago Holdings and Euronext. The New York Stock Exchange trading floor is located at 11 Wall Street, and is composed of four rooms used for the facilitation of trading. The main building, located at 18 Broad Street between the corners of Wall Street and Exchange Place, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978.

The origin of the NYSE can be traced to May 17, 1792, when the Buttonwood Agreement was signed by twenty-four stock brokers outside of 68 Wall Street in New York under a buttonwood tree. On March 8, 1817, the organization drafted a constitution and renamed itself the "New York Stock & Exchange Board". (This name was shortened to its current form in 1863.) Anthony Stockholm was elected the Exchange's first president. In 1922, a building designed by Trowbridge & Livingston was added at 11 Broad Street for offices, and a new trading floor called "the garage". Additional trading floor space was added in 1969 and 1988 (the "blue room") with the latest technology for information display and communication.

The whole complex is massive, the antennas are arranged in a Y configuration with each branch 13 miles (21 km) long. They use the train tracks to position the dishes in the desired configuration, with the end result being basically the same as one giant dish 22.3 miles (36 km) across.

ENGLISH

Montjuïc (pronounced [ˌmɔntˈdʒuik], alternatively spelled Montjuic or Montjuich) is a hill located in Barcelona, Spain. Montjuïc is translated as Hill of the Jews in the medieval Catalan language, or perhaps as a corruption of Latin Mons Jovicus (that is, hill of Jupiter). The name is found in several locations in the Catalan Countries: the Catalan cities of Girona and Barcelona have a Montjuïc, as does the island of Minorca. When written in a Spanish rather than Catalan context it is generally spelled Montjuich (in the old Catalan spelling before Pompeu Fabra's orthography).

Barcelona's Montjuïc is a broad shallow hill with a relatively flat top overlooking the harbour, to the southeast of the city centre. The eastern side of the hill is almost a sheer cliff, giving it a commanding view over the city's harbour immediately below. The top of the hill (a height of 173 metres) was the site of several fortifications, the latest of which (the Castell de Montjuïc) remains today. The fortress largely dates from the 17th century, with 18th century additions. In 1842 the garrison (loyal to the Madrid government) shelled parts of the city following disturbances. It served as a prison, often holding political prisoners, until the time of General Franco. The castle was the site of numerous executions. In 1897 an incident popularly known as Els processos de Montjuïc prompted the execution of anarchist supporters, which in turn lead to a severe repression of the workers' struggle for their rights. On different occasions during the Spanish Civil War, both Nationalists and Republicans were executed there, each at the time when the site was held by their opponents. The Catalan nationalist leader Lluís Companys i Jover was also executed there in 1940, having been extradited to the Franco government by the Nazis.

Montjuïc has also a cemetery know as "Cementiri del Sud-Oest", containing many of Barcelona's rich and celebrated, including Lluís Companys and his predecessor as President of Catalonia Francesc Macià, as well as artist Joan Miró, dancer Carmen Amaya and poet/priest Jacint Verdaguer. Numerous unmarked graves hold those executed in the fortress.

The Light of Montjuïc, with a reach to 30 miles, was constructed to the foot of the Barcelonian mountain year 1925. This light, like the light of the Llobregat, is in the restricted area of the port of Barcelona and it is not possible to accede to him. The best views are had from the Castle of Montjuïc, from above, and Ronda del Litoral, down.

CASTELLANO

C. y siglo II a. C.

You'll want to see this

Years ago, a friend told me a story from her childhood that I'd not heard before, and I think of it often. The story goes like this:

One morning, a little girl was looking across the valley from her house, admiring the beautiful golden windows on a house on the top of the hill.

"Mom," she said, "Do you see that house on the hill with golden windows? It must be so beautiful there, and the people who live there must be so wealthy! I'll bet they have no problems and their lives are filled with happiness every day. I wish OUR HOUSE had golden windows."

"Oh, darling," replied the mother, "no one's life is perfect. Even people who live in a house with golden windows."

"No, I think you are wrong! I want to go see for myself!" So the mother packed the daughter a lunch, and away the daughter went to cross the valley and see how wonderful life was for the people who lived in the house with golden windows.

The girl walked all day long. As she reached the bottom of the valley, she lost sight of the house but kept going. It was dusk by the time she reached the top of the other hill. But to her surprise, all she found was an ordinary house. She saw no golden ornaments, nothing that made the house look different or more special than any other house. The people looked ordinary, just like the people in her own family. She was puzzled.

Disappointed, she turned around to gaze at her own house across the valley she'd just crossed. And to her surprise, her house was ablaze with light. The windows shone with gold as the setting sun lit them up. In disbelief, she looked again at the ordinary house in front of her, then back to her house gleaming across the way.

"MY house has golden windows!" she said in amazement. She stood for a moment, struck by how beautiful her house looked from this side of the valley. She took off running back down the hill, eager to return to her family.

I love the lighting at this seafood bar in Schipol. Normally I get to an airport and head straight to the lounge to start work. This morning I just couldn't face it and decided to go on a photo shoot in Schipol. The first things I decided to shoot were the extremely nifty small shopping trollies which as far as I know are only available at Schipol/ Unfortunately the trolley park is just in front of the security area. A security official appeared from nowhere and requested that I delete the photos ... when he saw what I'd taken, he relented, but I moved on to this beautiful bar in any case.

A planetary nebula is an astronomical object consisting of a glowing shell of gas and plasma formed by many stars

as they approach the end of their lives, while a nova is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion

caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a nearly-dead white dwarf star in a close binary.

The star which erupted was a nova, an event caused when matter is transferred from one star in a close binary system onto its companion,

eventually triggering a runaway thermonuclear explosion. The nebula surrounding this nova is a planetary nebula,

which must have formed during an earlier phase in the binary star's existence, when the outer layers of one of the companions were expelled.

Only one previous nova has been seen to occur inside a planetary nebula – Nova Persei in 1901.

The opportunity to watch in detail as the nova flash interacts with the nebula is a first in astronomy.

for TOTW "insecurities" and WTL " fears"

I used to be very afraid of death, of the unknown. the possibility that

there is more after this life, and the wonderment of things like

heaven and hell , even reincarnation.

However i am no longer afraid of death. it is simply a part of this life

and i have no worries about it anymore. I know i dont want to die

an old man. and i dont want to die in my sleep.

as strange as this sounds, i dont want a peaceful death.

i want to die the same way i lived, fighting .

The one thing that does make me full of fear is being forgotten.

i used to hope if i became a famous musician, or celebrity of some

kind, then i would live on thru that.

I want to be remembered. I want to be missed.

I want the things i have done and said to have such an impact that

hundreds of years passing ,cant wash it away.
