We seem to be transitioning into the Phase 4 paint era with B32-8WHs 506, 510 and several P40/P42s already painted in this scene at 18th St. in Chicago June 2000.

PHASE TWO: Leica M2 (b. 1963) in need of CLA & TLC
Just got back from local CLA work and recover from 'leicaleather' out of Hong Kong. This is their 'light-brown lizard skin'. The color skopar is not the intended lens I have for this M but it's the only thing I had at the time of taking this photo. Waiting on a Leitz Summarit 50mm 1.5f to arrive and then it will be complete.

I had a useful and very pleasant meeting with Paul van der Meer in Den Bosch, but we also decided to do some shooting.
This phase occurs roughly 7 days after the New Moon when the moon is one quarter of the way through its orbit around the earth. Exactly half the moon will be illuminated and half dark.

Honestly, the binocular didn't looks good for attached to the helmet. Because it stuck on the slant of helmet's cheek.
While I was off of Flickr, Marvel announced their movies and TV shows for Phase 4, and it looks like it's going to be great! I decided to make a lot of figs for the movies/shows, accompanied by a brief description of my thoughts on the movie/show.
Black Widow: (Black Widow, Taskmaster, Red Guardian) To start Phase 4, we have Black Widow! Based on the descriptions of the revealed footage, the fight scenes sound like they will be amazing. Taskmaster's concept art also got revealed, and while it's not as good as Spider-Man PS4's, I really like how it looks. However, since the movie is set between Civil War and Infinity War, I wonder how they're going to tie Taskmaster into the universe. And we finally get to see Budapest! The figures I designed were my pre-existing Black Widow and Taskmaster, alongside an idea as to what David Harbour's Red Guardian could look like.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Falcon, Winter Soldier, Zemo): The first of the Disney+ shows, and it looks great! So glad to see Zemo finally don the iconic mask. Hopefully, Falcon gets a cool new outfit for his Captain America attire. Agent 13 returning is a cool inclusion as well. The figures I designed were my pre-existing White Wolf, a custom Falcon Cap, and Zemo.
The Eternals (Thena, Ikaris): I have no idea who these guys are. Hopefully, this ends up being a GotG-esque situation where a relatively-unknown team becomes super popular. The leaked concept art looks great though! The figures I designed are Thena and Ikaris.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Shang-Chi, Mandarin): Finally, the real Mandarin! Really wish we could have seen him in Iron Man 3, but better late than never. Another character that I don't know much about, but more MCU diversity is always a win! The figures are a semi-accurate/inspired by Shang-Chi and the Mandarin.
WandaVision (Scarlet Witch, Vision): God I hate this title so much. It sounds like a middle schooler's fan fiction title. Also, Vision is back which kinda renders the powerful Infinity War scene pointless? Should be a fun show nonetheless. The figs are the standard Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch and Vision.
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Nightmare): Apparently this is the MCU's first horror film? It's still PG-13 but is a "suspense thriller". And with Nightmare as the villain, the VFX should be incredible yet again. Also, Wanda is teaming up with Doctor Strange! I really hope it's about Doctor Strange teaching Wanda to really control her chaos magic into more than energy bolts. The figures are the normal Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, and a custom Nightmare.
Loki (Loki): I hate the logo. It's objectively terrible. But alternate 2012 Loki hopping around time to turn himself into humanity's god/ruler? Sounds incredibly fun to watch. The figure is an upgraded 2012 Loki.
What If...? (Captain America [Peggy Carter]): Definitely the show I'm looking forward to the most. The MCU's first animated media and I'm (probably foolishly) hoping it either follows Spiderverse's aesthetic or each episode has a unique style of animation (2D, 3D, classic comic, etc). The figure is a pretty simple Peggy Carter (Captain America), which is the plot behind the first episode.
Hawkeye (Hawkeye, Kate Bishop): I thought Jeremy Renner was done after Endgame, but apparently not! It's rumored that we're seeing more of Ronin which is going to be awesome to watch, and I can't wait to see Kate Bishop on the big screen. Hopefully, we can see Young Avengers in Phase 5! The figures are Civil War Hawkeye and an easy Kate Bishop.
Thor: Love and Thunder (Thor, Valkyrie, Thor (Jane Foster): Rounding out Phase 4 we have Thor: Love and Thunder! So glad to see Taika Waititi back directing! Hopefully, that means we get more Korg. Super surprised Natalie Portman is back as with Marvel as Mighty Thor, and I'm confused how they're going to explain her absence in Ragnarok. Other than that, there's not much we know about the movie at this time. Figures are IW Thor, Valkyrie, and a quick Jane Fos-Thor.
So that's Phase 4! Let me know what you're looking forward to the most, and which figures are your favorites!
Europe, Greece, Peleponnesos, Korinthia, Korinthos, Abandoned OSE Station (Antonis Dragoumis), Station hall, Mural (uncut)
After posting pics of Arnhem station at a fresh new phase of its life it's time to get back to the Peloponnesos travelogue. I used the abandonned Korinthos narrow gauge OSE station as a bridging device. It's also in a new phase, but alas a not so promising one - although the municipality of Korinthos has bought it from OSE and possibly is planning a new future for it.
The building style is eastern European modernist, nice and elegant with a concrete skeleton, following all the modern earthquake protection rules , was built in 1955 and designed by the architect Antonis Dragoumis, The paintings inside are about Corinthian mythology and history. I thank Dimitris for the information about the building!
Some time ago the Greek national railway operator OSE ( (Organismos Sidirodromon Eilados – literally: Greek Iron road Organization) suspended the service on the narrow gauge railway network of the Peleponnesos. The trains had only run two years after a long and costly renovation of this network. The state owned organization was and is under heavy pressure to cut cost and rationalize. It's very uncertain if regular trains will ever run again on this famous narrow gauge network. In 2012 and 2013 a few 'railway fan' chartered trains ran on the tracks. The signalling and crossing equipment were not functional so the speed of these trains was limited and guards were used to secure the railway crossings.
By the way: the scenic Diafokto-Kalavrita rack railway is still in operation and Korinthos has a new station that connects the town with Athens and Kiato through a modern standard gauge railway line. This station is at the edge of town and offers no access to the defunct narrow gauge network.
This is the second part of the mini series about abandoned roiling stock, stations and infrastructure shot at the closed OSE station of Korinthos. Now the passengers and staff are gone, the station and rolling stock (both passenger and freight) are used/visited by the 'usual suspects': street artists, vagrants, homeless people, vandals and photographers.

We had a Gray Phase Turkey come in a feed under our feeding station today, this hen is about two and a half years old now and we enjoy seeing her form time to time when she and the flock decide to visit us.
Amtrak 95 arrives in Norfolk, Va over an hour and half late with P42 #154 trudging into the station on a very overcast night. Will never get over the look of a Phase V locomotive, maybe its just cause it what im growing up with but ill never get tired of them.
Explored ..
nah, I didn't eat them like this, but they were on their way to the next phase ... I just had to ask my Wife to allow me to capture them before they leave this pan :-) .. trust me, eventually I ate those, but inside a pie ;-) ... (sorry, pie was devoured mostly by me before I even thought of taking pic :)
Hyacinths at the end of the flowering phase. The bulbs will go into pots to rebuild to flower next year.
This Cadillac Mountain image usually would not be a "keeper." However, it is surprising for a few reasons. One is that the light is coming from about an 80% moon phase (Waxing Gibbous). Second are the image specs. I am posting these for anyone who might have an interest in this type of photography. Camera: Canon R5, Lens: Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8, Settings: ISO: 2000, 15mm, f/4.0, 6.0 seconds, Tripod mounted. The real trick comes from the prep and processing to decrease the graininess and bring out the light. It was not a very good night for this sort of thing. My intention, and hope, was to capture the Aurora Borealis. Unfortunately, the peak happened during the daytime, there was a near full-moon, and there was way too much haze. Well, the goal is to learn something and prepare for the next.
An interesting note: See that glow all the way over on the left? That is the causeway bridge that connects Mount Desert Island to the mainland. Just below center is Bar Harbor, Maine.

I have shown this Wright's Citybus before, but that was a sunny nearside, so here is a sunny offside for the set !
It was still only a few months old here, so probably the only other time I had seen it apart from the shot at Blackpool in October 1985. It would stay with Wright's until 1993, when its 'Welsh phase' ended, and its 'English phase' started with Rossendale Transport and Ellen Smith, later moving to Pioneer Travel at Rochdale. Then in 2007 its 'Scottish phase' began, with a move to Jim Liddell at Auchinleck. He ran it until the end, although the end may not yet have come, if it is still lurking in his yard ....
