I was trying for a side by side shot of the 2 Phase III Cabbage cars but timing was not right. But this shot of the 90368 next to the dome car isn't bad either so I will take it.
A macro of some flowers which were being lit by the light coming in from front window. The title refers to one of my favourite pieces of music by Pat Metheny.
this link shows a very young Pat Metheny performing it in 1978 in Berlin

I photographed this Huge Male Cinnamon Phase Black Bear for a number of years.
He was always good natured and easy to work with.
He was a really big guy. Probably, easily in excess of 700 pounds.
The evening I took this shot he had wandered down to the creek to sit in the water and cool off.
It had been very hot out that day.
The creek was a favorite spot for the bears to hang out on a hot day.
The sun had just set and I was shooting Velvia and using fill flash.
I was very close about 10 feet away.
After spending about 15 minutes with him, I could tell that the flash was starting to bug him.
So, I thanked him for being so patient and left him sitting in the cool water of the creek.
He and some of the other bears would bring up sticks and rocks from the bottom while sitting in the water and play with them.
It was so much fun to watch.
Pleas view very large.
A single frame from the timelapse I used to make the previous time stack image.
It was interesting to see the phases of the passing storm all at once. It was pretty small and moving quickly, and the shape reminded me of a roll cloud (long and skinny, but it didn't have much roll to it) The camera was set up perpendicular to the storms movement, looking down (up?) the length of the storm, so you can see the clear sky ahead of it, the storm front, the turbulent area of the body and the tail followed by stratus clouds.
A bit gear porn anyone?

Moon Phase Today: November 23, 2020
The Moon's current phase for today and tonight is a Waxing Gibbous phase. This phase is when the moon is more than 50% illuminated but not yet a Full Moon. The phase lasts round 7 days with the moon becoming more illuminated each day until the Full Moon. During a Waxing Gibbous the moon will rise in the east in mid-afternoon and will be high in the eastern sky at sunset. The moon is then visible though most of the night sky setting a few hour before sunrise. The word Gibbous first appeared in the 14th century and has its roots in the Latin word "gibbosus" meaning humpbacked.

Although this example has long gone from the Express Motors fleet, it reminds us that the Mercedes-Benz minibuses that were loathed by many (or liked by a small minority) will no longer be able to see scheduled public service after 31/12/2014 due to the first phase of the DDA legislation. No doubt many will still linger on on private contracts such as schools.

AMTK 184 is seen at a standstill at the Naperville Illinois Metra station. It would be leading the infamous California Zephyr. Only beginning the first leg of their 2438 mile journey to California
The brief and questions I gave myself for this project were:
if I truly had to design my very own craft what would I want it to look like?
As a pilot, what kind of tech would I want to see in the cockpit?
What real life scenario could I incorporate making it a unique experience?
If I needed it repaired/ refueled, would I have the correct gear?
Could I build in real safety features?
What if I crashed in a remote place and needed to survive?
Can I challenge myself from a builders persepctive using parts that hardly ever come out to play?
Could I revisit my stickering techniques on such a small build?
My answers were:
I wanted something that visually had a very aerodynamic shape that looked like it was moving even when stationery, it had to have a unique "skin" that set it apart from any of my previous builds. Plus been a Starfighter, it had to be equipped with lots of weapons, that could shoot any enemy in any direction. If I wanted to be able to end a mission I could just inject and still tell the tale to my mates. My wishlist for this very personal project was, make it truly mine!
Over 80 hours of building and experimental phases was a challenge, only as its 16 x 35 studs and 9-in height, made it rather difficult to integrate not only the many play features but the final balance display stand. Ive truly enjoyed the Jam, guys you are all my hero`s, such a wonderful creative bunch. Thank you kindly to the organization of this great contest! Over &-Out

This image is the stack of four film shots taken sequentially through the 120/1000mm refractor at approximately 9:19 UT.
Despite the heavy haze, the seeing was very good.
Here's a group shot of the squad! I think they turned out fantastic, and look awesome together!

Last one for tonight. Bet you all wished I had gone dancing after all instead of inflicting all these photos on you.
This little threesome was taken a few weeks back now when I went on a window shopping spree that developed as it normally does into a trying on fest.
I went in to phase eight to try a dress that I saw before but wasn't in my size, as luck would have it this store did have the dress in question although its not in these photos, shame really as it was a nice dress and a fab fit. anyway the shop staff got a little carried away and kept bringing in more dresses for me to try, these are just a few from the two hours I spent held captive by them. Sorry about the quality of image people really cant use my camera on the phone.
The middle dress was just fab to wear and at the £300 + price it was never going home with me even with reduced cost to £275 that the sales lady said she could do as a special one off just because it was me. like she doesn't say that to everyone lol. the lace one on the right my left was nice but it was fight to get on and off. I did a bit of cursing with that one. and the one on the left my right was a surprise as I didn't think it would work as well as it did apart from showing how broad I am across the shoulders.
Still it was a fun few hours to end a nice day out . So what's your favourite?
