The "south" side of the layout has begun! This section will be next worked on when I've finished building Phase 1, It'll extend the bay platform to 164 studs and the through platforms to 276 studs (ish). It also adds a pop of colour with the flowerbeds and the bus stop sign. I'm considering adding the signals to this section of the layout instead of Phase 4 (station approach) just to add the extra detail but that's a fair bit of wiring I'm still not sure how to do.

The City of Vancouver is working on a detail design for a streetcar line between Granville Island and Science World. Phase 0 would have modern streetcars running along West 1st Ave on the south side of False Creek.
Potential future phases are: Science World-Waterfront Station, Waterfront Station-Stanley Park and Science World-Roundhouse.
This morning some of the power points were not working and some others were.. We have three meters (because we have 3 phase power) and one of them was not working. A first inspection by Ausgrid showed a loose connection at the junction pole where we receive power from the grid. As they are not allowed to climb ladders any longer (O.H. &S) a cherry picker arrived. The wire was reconnected and we were back in business.
Infantry Developmental Phase 1 (DP1), soldiers conducted a course field exercise at 4th Canadian Division Training Centre Meaford, on July 13-14.
Participants trained in land navigation skills and mine warfare adding on to their soldiering capabilities. DP 1 is the period where soldiers undergoes basic training and earn their trade qualifications.
A Developmental Period (DP) is a timeframe in a career during which an individual is trained, educated, employed and given the opportunity to develop specific occupational or professional skills and knowledge. DP 1 of five periods of training. DPs are distinguished by a progressive increase in the levels of accountability, responsibility, authority, competency, military leadership ability and the knowledge of operations and war.

When I worked for a bookstore, printers were going through a stylistic phase of leaving pages rough cut. Since I made a lot of book purchases at that time, I have a lot of rough cut books.

U.S. 27 Phase 1 - Begins March 27, Finishes Fall 2017
The first phase of construction will include:
~ straightening the alignment of southbound U.S. 27 near the intersection of North C Street,
~ rebuilding State Road 121/North J Street approaching U.S. 27, and
~ rebuilding both directions of U.S. 27 between North B Street and the Whitewater River, excluding the bridge over the railroad.
Work will reduce U.S. 27 to one lane in each direction between North B Street and the Whitewater River bridge. Multiple traffic shifts will be required to maintain one lane in each direction and rebuild the roadway one side at a time. Access to and from intersecting streets will be temporarily closed while that side of the roadway is being rebuilt.
U.S. 27 Phase 2 - Begins Late April, Finishes Summer 2018
The second phase of construction will include rebuilding the west half of southbound U.S. 27 between North C Street and the South O Street overpass. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and shifted to the east side of the road. A short section between South C and F streets will temporarily remain shifted to the west half of the road.
Multiple traffic lane shifts will be required to maintain one open lane and rebuild the roadway one side at a time. Access to and from intersecting streets will be temporarily closed while that side of the roadway is being rebuilt.
Weather permitting, contractors intend to finish one half of the southbound U.S. 27 rebuild this year. Once complete, one lane of traffic will be shifted to the west side of the road and the eastern half will be finished in 2018.
U.S. 27 construction will require lane closures and traffic shifts on U.S. 40 (North A and South A streets) as the intersections are rebuilt later this summer.

No, it is not easy focusing a tilt-shift at f3.5 in a club... but that only adds to the magic.
