I got the proof copy of the next Phase 7 collection in the mail today. It collects issues #012-#016 and is 266 pages! It's called B-Sides, and it will be debuting at the Stumptown Comics Fest at the end of this month. I'll have ordering information for everyone else in the next week or two.
It's always fun to stack up all the comics I've done so far to watch the pile grow. This is a little more than 750 pages of comics. For those of you who are wondering... NO! That Basewood book is not publicly available. I'm going to do a kickstarter this fall to try and get it printed properly. More info about that later...
Not far from where we live there is a large terrain, a former factory site, with community garden where lots of people cultivate vegetables, keep chickens and grow flowers. There is also a playground and two small football areas. The local community sometimes has festivals on the terrain, next to the gardens.
In the fall of 2010 or spring of 2011 this will alle be demolished to give way to a place with new homes and a park by 2013. I have mixed feelings about this: we are quite nearby and don't feel like living next to a construction site for the next two years. On the other hand: more housing is what Ghent needs (according to some).
So... we'll see. If it gets too noisy, we'll move.
If you want to know more: the project is "Bruggen naar Rabot - Gasmetersite"
