After 2 hours of building, having some random inspiration, built the perfect Phantom for my Ghost - fits the landing bay perfectly and even has some room to throw in atleast 3 figures including the pilot. It's a bit chubby but I like how it turned out and main goal was for it to fit atleast 1 figure and I achieved it! Sadly none of the windscreen pieces fits this scale so the bar pieces will do.

So this is very delayed, but this is the touchdown of the final F-4 Phantom the USAF ever flew on December 21st, 2016. I happened to be stationed at Holloman AFB at the time and had a photo pass for the base, since I did F-16 photography as well. The airfield operations crew was kind enough to take me along with the base public affairs photographer to get shots of the takeoffs and landings.
If you're wondering about the title, whenever the Phantom is mentioned, there seems to be a lot of purposeful misspellings of words beginning with "f" and replacing it with "ph". Because it's cool.
I'm not sure if I like the color or the black and white shot more. Oh well, I posted both.

John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.

Wikipedia reports: Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as "Upper Antelope Canyon" or "The Crack"; and "Lower Antelope Canyon" or "The Corkscrew." The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánÃlÃnÃ, which means 'the place where water runs through rocks'. Lower Antelope Canyon is Hazdistazà (called "Hasdestwazi" by the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department), or 'spiral rock arches'. Both are in the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation. The canyons are accessible by guided tour only."

So I went into Witchwood forest at night.
I've been through here before, but at night... at night the phantoms come out. These are great spectral masses of spindly grabby hands coming at you from out of the darkness. And with how dark this game gets after nightfall... God, what was I thinking?
Bonus: How many faces can you find?

"The rusty but trusty Phantom is held in high regard by pilots from all over the universe. Hence, the Terran Forces have decided to build a follow-up model named the Phantom XT, which contains more room for primary weapons and equipment. However, space pilots who want to make use of these enhancements must be prepared to shell out a large sum of credits" (in-game description)
Feel free to take a closer look at the model on Mecabricks!
Another difference with the Typhoon is that the EAP had a cranked wing, whereas the Typhoon has a straight leading edge. EAP was typically displayed with 6 dummy missiles. Each outboard weapons station carried an ASRAAM and four BAe Skyflash missiles were mounted under the fuselage. These were British developments of the American AIM-7 Sparrow and were also used on F-4 Phantoms in British service and the Tornado F.3, as well as Swedish Viggen fighters.

This is a minifig-scale model of "The Phantom", the shuttle from the TV series "Star Wars Rebels". It's about a foot long and has a full interior, with working hatches at the rear and on the underside.
Many thanks to Ryan McBryde for letting me use his nose and cockpit design - and also for his help and suggestions in creating this model.
I also have a thread for this model on Eurobricks:

Update: Many, many thanks to monekypaws for making the instrctions available for free on rebrickable - link here.
This page contains both a step-by-step set of instructions and a parts list. The details section contains a list of rare parts to check before attempting a build.
The restyled Phantom Corsair was rebuilt and shown at the Third Annual International Motor Sports Show in New York in 1954. The car was later re-sold and restored to its original design.
Nosey! The longer nose of the F4-E.
As I've said previously, I've been building this one in the background as it has more compromises than the 4B due to the colour / parts availablity (especially the dark tan parts) ....It also has a lot more sticker usage, especially as I've been trying to keep the cost down by using vinyl over black parts that I have lots of, rather than buying the green or dark green variants.....plus the green I have for matching the standard LEGO green is very slightly off, so I've had to use it all over the standard green parts : |
BUT, this camo colour scheme is too good to not build one as near as I can ;)
