One of the final air show aperances of the QF-4 Phantom II at the 2016 Reno Air Races.

This summer, my son took me up in the hills to an old WWII abandoned bunker. How they got all that concrete way up here in the mid 40's is beyond me.

On the way down from exploring, we stopped at the wye junction in the road (you can just see us down there) and I got out my DJI Phantom 4 quadcopter to take a look around. At this point, we are more than 1/2 way down from the mountain that is to our left and behind us.

We are looking East here. Seattle would be way back there.. Canada would be to our left. I believe the quad was around 400' high when I took this.

Phantom Ship is a small island in Crater Lake in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is a natural rock formation pillar which derives its name from its resemblance to a ghost ship, especially in foggy and low-light conditions.

Here's the same island from the opposite side on a more colorful day and with just a little more perspective. It's really not that far from the edge of the lake. You can even see the rocky underwater connection here.

"The Cosmopolitan’s history goes back to a man named Juan Lorenzo Bandini, one of San Diego’s pioneers who settled here in the 1800s and a colorful and important player in San Diego's early development.

There are reports of full-bodied apparitions, objects being moved/placed in different areas, and voice Phenomena. Apparently room number eleven is one of the most haunted rooms in the hotel. Although people have reported seeing phantom specters throughout the building and the grounds.

Interurban motorwagen 26 van de Shebogan Light Power and Railway Co rijdt langs Phantom lake op weg naar East Troy. Een donkere bui hult het meer reeds in het duister maar de frisse kleuren van de motorwagen lichten nog op in de laatste gedempte zonnestralen. Het trolley-touw hangt in een boog achter de motorwagen.

De houten interurban is in 1908 door de Cincinnati Car Co. gebouwd. Toen de interlokale tramlijn van Sheboygan naar Elkhart Lake in 1938 werd opgeheven kreeg de wagenbak van de motorwagen een nieuwe bestemming als zomerhuisje. In 1988 werd de bak door de museumlijn in East Troy verworven en na een jarenlange restauratie kwam het fraaie voertuig in 2005 weer op de baan.

Amerikaanse "Interurbans" zijn bijeengebracht in het "gelijknamige album".
