A Patreon bonus image of my other two purist Kryptonians from the Superman II photoshoot. ...I mean, how could I build Zod and not those other two beauties?!
Plus, now that the second CMF Batman Series is right around the corner, I suppose it makes this photo irrelevant now :P

Merry Christmas Everybody!
To round out the end of 2017, Here's to the first of (possibly) an annual thing where I share some of my favorite Pateron Exclusive photos from the past year (and a wee bit from 2016 because they were just too good to keep to themselves)!
All these photo's, plus many many many many many more have been shared over the course of the year and just think, you may have never even seen these if you weren't a Patron of mine! I originally wanted to share more than 25 different photos here for the holidays, but I had to really cut that down! Think of what you're still missing now! Tons of other Photos and WIPs! D:
There's waaaay more than just these over on Patreon! ...These just happen to be just a few of my favorites ;)
Be sure to join me over there, and you'll get to see this stuff as it's posted through-out the year! Plus like a zillion other things too! If you do, you'll get a personal shout-out on my next public flickr post, plus a follow from yours truly! :)
In 2018, I already have new projects scheduled including photoshoots for The JSA, Dr Fate, The Flash, Green Arrow, Superman, Some New Brickheadz, Shazam, Booster Gold, Wonder Woman... and these will be available to you first, plus bonus content for each of those uploads :)
So just think what you're missing out on! Think of what's to come! :P
ANYWAY!
Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all you champs! See you in 2018! Woo! :D
The last day of photo shoots for books next year. Big weight now lifted, so a few examples.
I've spent so much time with all types of Canon cameras over the last 4 months, that I'm getting the itch ;)
The Phantom Ship rock island on the south end of Crater Lake looks here like it's leaving port, or maybe just arriving. Catching late afternoon sunlight, it contrasts so nicely with the famously deep blue hue of the Crater Lake water.

Wikipedia reports: Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as "Upper Antelope Canyon" or "The Crack"; and "Lower Antelope Canyon" or "The Corkscrew." The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means 'the place where water runs through rocks'. Lower Antelope Canyon is Hazdistazí (called "Hasdestwazi" by the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department), or 'spiral rock arches'. Both are in the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation. The canyons are accessible by guided tour only."

Ralph Waldo Emerson. The happiest man is he who learns from nature the lesson of worship.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca: On entering a temple we assume all signs of reverence. How much more reverent then should we be before the heavenly bodies, the stars, the very nature of God!
John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love.
This is a minifig-scale model of "The Phantom", the shuttle from the TV series "Star Wars Rebels". It's about a foot long and has a full interior, with working hatches at the rear and on the underside.
Many thanks to Ryan McBryde for letting me use his nose and cockpit design - and also for his help and suggestions in creating this model.
I also have a thread for this model on Eurobricks:

Update: Many, many thanks to monekypaws for making the instrctions available for free on rebrickable - link here.
This page contains both a step-by-step set of instructions and a parts list. The details section contains a list of rare parts to check before attempting a build.
Another October 1996 view of AMARC, the giant storage area located in the Arizona desert near Tucson
Back then it was a predominance of stored F-4 Phantoms
The areas top right and foreground are all F-4's bar (in the upper left) a few F-14 Tomcats and some F-15 Eagles
The F-4's were mostly destined to be converted to QF-4's as aerial targets used in Live Missile Testing and Practice firing
Middle right are several C-130 Hercules with towards the top middle are a fleet of P-3 Orions
At the very top left is part of the arrivals area:

Last but not least is 'Celebrity Row' which is just right of centre where one example of every type in the then current inventory is displayed
Today's Lockdown challenge is:
I can make out 35 different types in Celebrity Row.......can you?
Main types will do and I must admit a couple are so small, if anyone gets more than 30 I'll be impressed. For clarity there are 16 in the first section, 15 across the other side of the road in the same line then back opposite the first 16, another 4 facing them)

The Phantom, which held its bloodless hand above him ... advanced its eyes so close to his, that he could now see how they did not participate in the terrible smile upon its face, but were fixed, unalterable, and steady in horror.

The Eldrial Vale
Beneath an immeasurable sky, where clouds drifted like phantoms across a fathomless blue, the Eldrial Vale unfurled in solemn majesty. It was a place where time thickened, suspended between memory and forgetting. On either side, mountains loomed — their peaks scarred by lingering ice, white veins against weathered rock — watching all with an indifference carved by millennia. Forests of ancient trees draped their dark canopies down the slopes, their depths murmuring secrets to winds that slipped through the branches like unseen messengers.
A river, impossibly clear, wound its way through the valley’s heart, glinting like liquid glass drawn by an unseen hand. It wove intricate, unhurried arcs through the meadowlands, as if contemplating its own course. The water whispered across pebbles smoothed by the ages, its sound a language older than thought. There was a kind of sentience to its flow, a knowing grace that made the air around it feel charged — as though the very earth held its breath.
The valley floor stretched out, a wild expanse of mossy greens and russet grasses, interrupted by boulders tossed carelessly in some forgotten upheaval. Wildflowers, brilliant yet shy, clung to the edges of this fractured land, their delicate petals trembling beneath the weight of the sun’s late morning gaze. The air was dense with the scent of damp loam, cool stone, and distant water — a mingling of fragrances so subtle they bordered on memory.
It was a landscape that held itself apart, poised between serenity and unease. A stillness laced with tension, as though the land teetered on the brink of revelation. Here, beauty did not simply exist; it watched. The mountains neither welcomed nor forbade, their silence stretched taut, a canvas awaiting meaning. The river did not merely travel — it remembered, its path carved not just through rock, but through forgotten tales and unspoken longings.
Beyond the narrowing of the vale, where shadows braided themselves into the light, lay the passage into wilder realms. The valley's edges blurred, boundaries fading into uncertainty. Each step forward felt like a question pressed into the earth. And in that space between known and unknown, sunlight seemed to flicker, hesitant yet resolute — as though the world itself was deciding whether to unveil or obscure.
To stand here was to feel the enormity of stories untold, the ache of things almost remembered. The air thrummed with a quiet, dissonant music, vibrating with a tension that refused to resolve. The stones, the water, the wind — they all seemed to pause, expectant, holding within them the possibility of revelation or retreat.
This was Eldrial: a place where the world tilted ever so slightly, unsettling in its beauty, magnetic in its mystery — an edge between what was and what might yet be.

To wander these landscapes, whether in vision or in thought, is to touch a fragment of that boundless wonder. If the whisper of this vale calls to you, let your journey continue beyond these words. "I could not tell the truth... I could not tell the truth... From the mirage, from the mirage..."
My F-4J Phantom II is already 3 years old. Recently, I gave it a little refreshment by applying new decals because the old ones had faded. Satisfied with restoring the model to its original condition, I decided to take a few new photos of it. In the meantime, I also made some small modifications: I added non-slip covers on the wings and tail fins, as well as a pyramid slope on the tip of the aircraft's nose. This part was not available in white when the model was made in 2020. Nothing spectacular, but it's always nice to add a new post on Flickr!

So yeah, Rebels is awesome, and Hera's ship is one of the Coolest in Star Wars... I don't think I'm really up to building a Minifig Scale Ghost, But more then happy to make The Phantom... Very happy with the end result. I did take a lot of inspiration from other Phantom MOC's out there on Flickr, so props to those guys. You can of course expect more Ship and Landing pad MOC's like this in future, it was a fun concept to do!
Considering Foxy here uses the FNaF2 design rather than the original, it was an interesting experience sculpting him.
Oh yeah, this is the first time I've ever taken apart a limb that wasn't all the way, so, sorry if that looks off. The paint job is decent in my honest opinion. It's not a 'wow' factor, but it's enough to look accurate.
Phantom Freddy, Bayonetta, Springtrap, and the mystery character coming soon!
Have a good one everybody :)
