A bit of sun filtering in to warm a chilly scene on the Prairie River.

So, Tony Immoos and I made a trip to Table Mountain this weekend. Ever since I saw this waterfall in a photo a few years back I wanted to visit it myself, but after talking with Tony about it I didn't think I could make the hike. I was in a car accident a number of years ago that did a number on my legs and ankles and wasn't in the best shape to do a "long" hike (it's something like 4-5 miles there and back I believe, I'm sure Tony will correct me).

This year though I've been taking better care of myself and figured why not give it a try. This is actually sort of a trial run to get us prepped for Cathedral Lake, another location I've always written off as being too much for me to handle. Our plan is to work up to Cathedral Lake with a few other hikes in the coming months and hopefully tackle the lake in mid-late summer.

We made it out to the falls just fine, and after shooting in the immediate vicinity for a few hours Tony just HAD to check out another waterfall in the area, which ended up being one hell of a hike for us (and was completely not worth it!). By the time we made it back to the car we were exhausted, spending over 9 hours on our feet and walking over 10 miles (yes Tony, 10 miles, my Fitbit does not lie!).

I think we overdid it a little, but we had a great time and the weather and location was gorgeous! More to come soon (hint: wildflowers)!

Plus, now that the second CMF Batman Series is right around the corner, I suppose it makes this photo irrelevant now :P

Merry Christmas Everybody!

To round out the end of 2017, Here's to the first of (possibly) an annual thing where I share some of my favorite Pateron Exclusive photos from the past year (and a wee bit from 2016 because they were just too good to keep to themselves)!

All these photo's, plus many many many many many more have been shared over the course of the year and just think, you may have never even seen these if you weren't a Patron of mine! I originally wanted to share more than 25 different photos here for the holidays, but I had to really cut that down! Think of what you're still missing now! Tons of other Photos and WIPs! D:

There's waaaay more than just these over on Patreon! ...These just happen to be just a few of my favorites ;)

Be sure to join me over there, and you'll get to see this stuff as it's posted through-out the year! Plus like a zillion other things too! If you do, you'll get a personal shout-out on my next public flickr post, plus a follow from yours truly! :)

In 2018, I already have new projects scheduled including photoshoots for The JSA, Dr Fate, The Flash, Green Arrow, Superman, Some New Brickheadz, Shazam, Booster Gold, Wonder Woman... and these will be available to you first, plus bonus content for each of those uploads :)

So just think what you're missing out on! Think of what's to come! :P

ANYWAY!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all you champs! See you in 2018! Woo! :D

The Phantom Ship (island) of Crater Lake National Park in Oregon.

The small island is actually a natural formation rock pillar from a submerged stratovolcano cone.

The Phantom Ship rock island on the south end of Crater Lake looks here like it's leaving port, or maybe just arriving. Catching late afternoon sunlight, it contrasts so nicely with the famously deep blue hue of the Crater Lake water.

The last day of photo shoots for books next year. Big weight now lifted, so a few examples.

I've spent so much time with all types of Canon cameras over the last 4 months, that I'm getting the itch ;)

Wikipedia reports: Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest. It is on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon includes two separate, scenic slot canyon sections, referred to individually as "Upper Antelope Canyon" or "The Crack"; and "Lower Antelope Canyon" or "The Corkscrew." The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means 'the place where water runs through rocks'. Lower Antelope Canyon is Hazdistazí (called "Hasdestwazi" by the Navajo Parks and Recreation Department), or 'spiral rock arches'. Both are in the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation. The canyons are accessible by guided tour only."

one that has seen better days

Still the same day on our day hike around Lorne, this falls was probably the most impressive in terms of the amount of water that was pulsing over it.

It was a beautiful little spot relaxing on the rocks enjoying some brief moments of sunshine, it's also a pity the water wasn't so cold as it also looked like an epic spot for a swim!

Taken near Lorne, Victoria.

Remake of the old Phantom

7th edition

The Phantom. An extremely fast and agile ship constructed for interception and hit and run strikes, but it still has the outright toughness for drawn out engagements.

Quite a bit better, if I do say so myself.

Also, sorry about the kind of crappy pictures... my photo area isn't set up as I'm only home for a little while, and taking pictures of black on white is tough...

So I finally got a good, nicely detailed, nicely backgrounded shot of my Classic Signature spaceship, the Phantom 7. That's what you get, I guess, with more photo experience and a better camera.
