I've been thinking about building an motorized model of an automatic door. Here's an image I did for a possible design based on the Fenton Ghost Portal from the cartoon "Danny Phantom", along with some of the screencaps I used for reference.
Good enough as a rough idea for future planning, but not much as a work of art. No shadows, perspective isn't really there, and you can clearly see a few places where I got lazy towards the end. All that, and it still took way too long. Yeah, there's a reason I'm not an artist. ;)
Over 5,000 Phantoms were built and there was a time when they were operated by a very large number of air forces and navies, including the RAF, the Luftwaffe and of course the US Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. In many cases the famously ugly but powerful Phantom has been replaced and in some cases its successor replaced, but the Hellenic Air Force and a few other countries still operate the type.
Although the Hellennic Air Force retired its RF-4E reconnaissance Phantoms earlier in 2017, it still operates two squadrons of updated F-4E fighter bombers. This one belongs to the air force's 338 Mira (squadron) and has a custom paint scheme that relates to the squadron's callsign of "Ares". The figure on the fin is known as "Spook" and is the mascot for the F-4 Phantom.
About 1,000 Fort Hood Soldiers left III Corps Headquarters May 17 for Phantom Thunder, an 80-mile motorcycle mentorship ride. Prior to the ride, LTG Don Campbell Jr. and CSM Arthur L. Coleman Jr. signed a proclamation designating May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, demonstrating that our Soldiers are trained and equipped to ride safely through Central Texas. Got myself a dji phantom 3 standard. Not bad image quality considering its hanging from a flying bit of plastic.
Nice day out with Fester the beetle. We drove about an hour north on the M9 to Blackford where the Phantoms hot rod club were holding their annual show.
Great show, great cars and friendly people. What more do you need?
