About 1,000 Fort Hood Soldiers left III Corps Headquarters May 17 for Phantom Thunder, an 80-mile motorcycle mentorship ride. Prior to the ride, LTG Don Campbell Jr. and CSM Arthur L. Coleman Jr. signed a proclamation designating May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, demonstrating that our Soldiers are trained and equipped to ride safely through Central Texas. This long and worn set of steps led from the Argentine trolley line on Ruby Avenue up the hill to homes on the south. The trolley is long gone as are most of these homes.
I really enjoyed Phantom Sightings at LACMA. I've been fascinated by all the different responses to the show, both positive and negative. More on this subject to come.
