About 1,000 Fort Hood Soldiers left III Corps Headquarters May 17 for Phantom Thunder, an 80-mile motorcycle mentorship ride. Prior to the ride, LTG Don Campbell Jr. and CSM Arthur L. Coleman Jr. signed a proclamation designating May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, demonstrating that our Soldiers are trained and equipped to ride safely through Central Texas. Please do your part - share the road and look twice to save a life. (Photo by Daniel Cernero, III Corps and Fort Hood Public Affairs)

As part of the annual Phantom Thunder, motorcycle riders rumbled along a more than 70 mile route May 25 that circled Fort Hood and Belton Lake, Texas. The ride was held to promote positive motorcycle mentorship, motorcycle safety and Esprit De Corps among Fort Hood Soldiers, family members and civilians that operate a motorcycle on or around the installation.
